and to wet the appetite more, heres a print of Joshua Maruska's Entex Rotary - tweaked a little for FDM Printing and not full quality - but still looking great

Well that's a fair bit of modelling over the past few weeks, and still about 8 bits to go - Green ones are From Joshua Maruska & Bjorn Rudgley - does make life a lot easier so thanks guys. (Does make you really appreciate the amount of work that went into the original)
It did unfortunately show up some issues with my base frame (just the printed parts - the aluminum support remains the same), which I have rectified as well - so if you have already printed the frame, I apologize in advance - but I'd much rather be as accurate as I can be. (So I'm reprinting mine for about the 4th time at the moment)

Yes it was pretty much the same with me - you cant really tell until you start laying out the bits - and then its obvious, so the earlier version are really nothing but best guess ;)

i just started my first print today....what a monster this will be..doing the turret first..many thanks Dazza..is there a list of parts that are safe to print right now ?..that is to say likely will not need revising
You are safe with turrets, docking tubes. I will revisit the docking ring inside bit at some stage. Cockpit is good to go, and the radar. Best to use resin for radar dish.
There's also 3 of the mandible pits that are good. Jaws you can print, unless you planning on doing landing gear down, then I'd hold off
Should have frame finalized this weekend, and port side walls.

Saying that, creating a working list might be a good idea

fantastic...i've only had a printer for 3 days but i gotta say i don't know how anyone can live without one.

I will give it some thought, I might be able to print it in a few parts with FDM and you just glue it together and sand off any seems.
It was pretty tricky when I first did it, but i've learned a bit since then

Honestly, I am just happy to have access to any of this, so don't go to any extra effort. Anyone who needs/wants to print the dish with FDM can figure something out.

Quick Update
Starboard Side just is now also just about complete - A few missing bits still, and the Pipework to be added to both sides - My Rejigged Frame has been reprinted and put together, so just about time to switch Nozzles and Print these Side Walls off.

IMPORTANT NOTE
To stop people just ripping off these files - and to make it easier for me to notify users of changes, updates etc, I am stopping all general public access sharing soon.
They are still free for anyone who wants to print them, you will just need to PM me your email address for access, and I will add you to my Falcon Mailing list, as well as send you an invite to the files.

So to pre-empt the switch over, feel free to flick me requests for access now.

Cheers Darrin
