Best Cap shield replicas?

Found these quicker than I thought I would. I cant find the "before" photos, but this is an efx shield that had some damage to the outer ring that my shop repaired and totally repainted, including this Winter Soldier style weathering.
After finishing this I really wanted one for myself but at that point, the shields were only available at aftermarket prices.
You can see how the etched lines in the star dont really show up in photographs. It was a disappointing anomaly and despite it being a fiberglass shield, it was it's one major drawback.

I have the Efx Stealth Shield and King Arts Age of Ultron version.

Quick question, I have had a few shields and settled on the CATTOYS ABS version. It is really cool… But in the back of my mind I’m still longing for “metal”, but I can’t afford most of these prices! (I should’ve gotten the 75th Anniversary one when I had the chance!)

Anyway, I’ve been doing research on the CATTOYS, version 2.0 Metal shield. It looks DARN good in the videos. Would anyone here recommend it?? $300-ish, I believe. Thanks!

Can you link to the cattoys video you mentioned?
As far as I've seen, the cattoys versions were pretty bad because the details are stamped into the surface.
Here's a metal Chinese one that's really good for the price, only drawback is the exposed mounting screws on the backside. I figure with a premium repaint, this would look really fantastic:

I can confirm that this one’s quite nice for the price, wish I had snagged an unpainted one though since the paint job is a little dark in person.

I have a separate thread going right now documenting my stripping and repainting of one of these shields.

Also it’s a little small compared to the eFX/masterworks, at about 21.5” in diameter.

Watched Civil War again last night. There is a great close up of the shield after the Ironman/Cap fight when Cap drops the shield on the ground. It appears in that shot that the star might be made up of 5 different parts for each point of the star. That is based on the way the light is reflecting off of the star. Also evident by the gap size around the star that the star is a separate piece. This is probably something that most of you know, but I just found it interesting to learn how these things are constructed.

Here's one of the vids... HeavenNature, or something like that.

So DHL might be good?
Dont get that one. The front side is stamped, so all the curves are embossed and not machined.
Get this one if you're on a budget, it's far more accurate:

This was mine straight after removing the paint

Looks awesome. How did you go about removing the paint i f I wanted to do the exact same thing?

My intention on mine was not to remove all the paint but to tone it down and make it look more new than they had with the antiquing, but I am on the fence about whether I would wanted it that shiny when it never appears that clean in the movies.

You're gonna want to just strip it all off and start from scratch.

The star is definitely one piece, since the scratched Shield is CG it’s likely just the way the model was lit for that shot to make the star look like 5 pieces

Let’s start a separate thread for hammer talk please and thanks!

Thank you GeneralFROSTY! I think I will!

Of course now I'm seeing the 75th Anniversary ones on Ebay again and for under $300. What the heck?? Are those legit??

The 75th anniversary ones look extremely inaccurate. The star section is waaaaay too big.

The Marvel Legends shields do hold some value because they're licensed but they're far from accurate to the films, namely because of the inexpensive stamped design as well as the incorrect proportions between the star and rings

Hello...

I am looking for a shield at low cost until I know if Relicmaker embarks on another career for a shield, can you give me your opinion of which shield is the best...???

A greetings...

I'm curious to know if the darker blue color paint used on the king arts shield is creating an optical illusion, making the whole star section appear smaller.
In the promo photos from king arts, they used a much lighter metallic color that not only matches better to what we see on screen, but makes the star section appear more to appropriate scale.
All the finished product that actually reached collectors hands has a much more opaque, darker paint application that drastically alters the overall look.
