Best Cap shield replicas?

I've seen it, the bad thing is that the straps are made of plastic...

A greetings...
Well, it's a synthetic pleather but if It were a huge issue, that's something that any leather worker could swap out for you for a decent price, just remove the existing ones and request they be duplicated in real leather.
Your next best option for a shield that's mostly accurate is a King Arts, but after import shipping you'll be spending upward of a grand.
Aside from king arts, if you want to wait to see if relicmaker tackles this project, your options otherwise vary between cheap and inaccurate.

Ok, Relicmaker is checking on final pricing and tooling.

He may only offer a few finished shields and the rest in kits.

So those wanting to save money and/or customize will be able to get a kit.

Keep fingers crossed that his vendor will be able to move forward!

Awesome to hear! Hoping to see a development thread for it so we can see how the design will be!

I have asked the seller and this has answered me:

The strap is leather material not plastics,i think that is you want .that is the same as the picture high quality and circle is 60cm

I'm curious to know if the darker blue color paint used on the king arts shield is creating an optical illusion, making the whole star section appear smaller.
In the promo photos from king arts, they used a much lighter metallic color that not only matches better to what we see on screen, but makes the star section appear more to appropriate scale.
All the finished product that actually reached collectors hands has a much more opaque, darker paint application that drastically alters the overall look.

It is a little smaller compared to the masterworks/eFX star, I posted a link a few days ago with measurements of both from a forum post on another forum a few years back:

eFX:

9”/24” = 0.375

King Arts:

8.5”/23.5” = 0.362

As a proportion of the total diameter, the King Arts Star is smaller

Just as a thought, if we do get this ultimate shield, instead if a pelican case storage, itd be fun to collaborate on a soft carrying case like the exf came with, but make it look like his suit, with two tones of blue canvas.

That’d be a cool add-on! The eFX case was basically a custom cymbal carry bag

Would you still be able to provide comparison pics and measurements of the two? Namely ring and groove width measurements of the eFX as well?

I just read that the Masterworks shield is made from over 50 pieces, that's alot of parts! My question is how did they achieve the thickness of the edges so seamlessly.

Did they sell out of 50? Did any member buy one?
I mean, all the parts needed to assemble one shield is about 50.
The shields themselves are still available to but through the Disney online shop.
I honestly think the claw Mark's hurt sales on this. I would of gotten a line of credit to buy one otherwise.
