Interest Star Trek TOS Science Scanner Run for 2025 - Waiting List Started

I've just recceived my wand company tricorder and interested in your fantastic looking hand scanner.

Are you able to send to Scotland? Interested in a finished scanner without sound.

Please let me know. Thanks for your time.
Yes, I can do that. I've added you to the waiting list. ;)

Whoa…I failed to mention….I’d like qty. 2 with sound but also as buildup kits. I don’t want them already assembled.

Thanks!
I won't be able to provide sound cards with kits, but I can direct you to a place where you can get the sound cards when the time comes.

What’s all involved in programming the sound card? Are multiple sounds programmable? I’m assuming you’ll have instructions of shoehorning in the sound card physically once programmed?

Thx

Because of the limited amount of space, I'm using an off the shelf sound card that only plays one sound.

Here's a link to the procedures for building a kit:

Thanks….I’ve been reading that….but I assume you’ll revise those steps to include adding (with pics?) the soundboard and it’s connections?

Will you also provide a basic schematic of all connections and components as most electronic kits usually have?

Thx

I can probably add my procedures for attaching the sound card to my old build link. More than likely a schematic won't be necessary, but we'll see. My suggestion is that if you're not experienced with electronics, you may want to think about getting a build up instead. I've been doing this for a long time and it takes me several hours to do the electronics with the sound card.

Yeah I’m experienced in electronics…..but besides procedures, schematics remove possible guess work.

Also building the kit will give me an excuse to tidy up my workbench a bit :)

Speaking of limited space…..the question would arise will the Science Scanner fit in the Wand Tricorder’s lower compartment?

The scanner measurements are 3 1/8 length and 1 1/4 diameter as I understand it…..so YES horizontally, but not vertically.

A person will have to sacrifice not using the Tricorder’s supplied compartment installable/removable dividers.

Using a piece of wooden dowel at the same dimensions…..it’s clear to confirm the Science Scanner will fit.

If still available I would like a Complete kit with the stated Price of $190 from your 2025 run. I will also be looking to add sound to the unit.

I found an old kit of the scanner, could I get the electronics with just a plain white led?
