An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

Nice job! That looks WAY better than my first mold's version.
I've found that for small parts like these it's best NOT to use a pressure pot. I open the mold as far as it will go and shoot the resin into the tiny bits like the circles. Then I close it up and shoot in the rest. Seems to be working. The issues with this one are actually in the mold itself which I'm trying to cut/clean up. Hopefully the next one will be perfect.

I think a minor correction on the parts map for the 'Forward Starboard Top Pit'

There's a call out for #6 Airfix P-51D, but I believe it is one of the 20mm cannons from the Airfix Hurricane.

thanks

If anyone knows, please let me know.
Is there anyone who can prove that this part is included in this number kit?
As far as I know, I've only seen this part on the BS1209.

Might be a typo on the sheet.

Those parts are not in Tyrrell Ford F1 'ELF' 12009-700. Those parts are blanked out for some reason.

They ARE in the Tyrrell Ford F1 'ELF' 1209-1750. Which I believe is an earlier boxing of the kit.

I’m in the process of updating the kits numbers. When I started, I was just grabbing from Scalemates.

If you look at the kit list in my drive, you’ll see which ones have been updated. I haven’t made it to Tamiya yet. Once the doc is finished, I’ll start updating the maps.

I'd never bothered to look at the instructions beyond the part layout pages. I didn't realize that's the handle to a screwdriver that you don't get in later editions. I really don't know why they'd blank that out. Seems far less expensive to just put a 'part not used' note in the instructions than to adjust the tooling.

Dave, thank you for providing the information.
Your kit is an older lot than my kit "1209-2500", so please tell me one more thing. Which shape does this part of C-sprue have?

Thank you, Dave! I've always wanted to know the number of the first edition kit without a mold in this part.
In the case of the first version, the C6 and C7 cannot be used for the 5-foot Falcon.

As you may know, the number in the second half of the kit number shows the price in "yen", which is the unit price of Japanese currency.
"1750" means "1750 yen". "12009-700" is an unnatural number. Is the right edge covered with a label or something? This kit should be "7000 yen".
