A few years back, I used a Jedi character I had created for my friends' RPG campaign to a story using the idea of dual timelines: because of an imbalance created in the timelines due to a "fracture in the Force", he kept switching between two timelines (EU and the Movies) and the two timelines were in danger of collapsing altogether unless he could somehow stop the growing rift.

It was called Star Wars: Dual Forces; I'll have to check my old hard drives to see if I still have the artwork for it.

That sounds cool!

Found them; there weren't as many as I had hoped, but these should do:

And then there is this(done using the user name of a friend on SSM that I only put together what it REALLY means after several years! ):

Here’s my sequel trilogy head canon. The Force Awakens happened up to the point that Rey was captured and brought on to Kylo’s ship.

Everything past that point, and including the last two movies are delusions in her mind resulting from the torture.

She’s still in that chair waiting to be rescued.
Kind of a Jacob's Ladder thing. The rest is just a delusion as her brain slowly died.

To me, the Medical Frigate always looked like it had once been a bigger ship that had lots of parts broken off of it.

I don't know anything about KOTOR or TCW (Filoniverse) but I dig the idea that there are parallel timelines one in which the darkside ending causes one timeline and a lightside ending causes another. That's actually pretty cool, and gives space for all the stories to happen, you just choose which side grabs you the most and follow it. I dig the logic behind it. ;)
I can't recommend KOTOR enough. It's amazing, if you have the time. There's also mobile versions for Android and iPhone you could do and just get a bit in here and there.

Another way to view Star Wars. Is to take the classical mythic approach. Where all of it is true from a certain point of view. Like mythic cycles of old. With tales that get retold and retold, each one slightly different then the others. Like Robin Hood and King Arthur, each with its own multiple versions. We can view Star Wars like that.

In a more modern vernacular, we could use the terms reboots and soft reboots. Which we place uat certain locations. Like the publishing of the Thrawn trilogy, which could be viewed as the beginning to the EU proper. (Though West End Games laid the foundation a few years earlier.) Which was not beholden to the previous comic and newspaper strip continuities. The Prequels, would give us another point. As would the publishing of the Legacy era in 2006. The Clone Wars in 2008. And obviously the 2014 reboot.

I omit anything after 1977. Once they brought in that muppet, it was over.

(I'm kidding)

OT first and foremost as its own saga without connection to anything after. Then the PT purely out of respect to George's vision (though I don't consider it part of my own head canon). I view the Holiday Special and Ewok movies as their own things and not canon. The video games, cartoons, books, and comics also their own things and not canon. Everything after 2005 is a horrible alternate universe nightmare that somehow made it into our reality.

Bringing up Kyle Katarn again shows how lousy the writers on the Sequel movies are. Kyle is one of many characters in the EU who were former Stormtroopers, that had awesome back stories. They couldn't even muster up anything for that dude in the Sequels other than "He's a Stormtrooper JANITOR".

If you dont know KotoR, I can really recommend giving it a try. After 21 years still my favourite Star Wars game and actually my favourite video game period. It has great atmosphere!
