Saw you are using a Thrustmaster grip. If you want to actually hook up the control stick to USB as a game controller, or even just have it move around, last year I released files for a 3D printed large sized control stick

I’m working on 3D printable rudder pedals too I could share the w.i.p files for.

Could be a fun add-on to hide a gaming pc or laptop somewhere inside the cockpit and hook up x-wing alliance or star wars squadrons to the actual controls.

This thread has the best research on it but it seems the meteor stick comes from ESB and is shared with the snowspeeder

So the grey handle does move. Obviously the part on the bottom screws off but inside is the jettisons firing pin, that entire assembly comes out, and there is a spring loaded ball to help catch firing pin. that is awesome, thank you! The right angle fitting makes me think they went ahead and...

Another factor is the terrible ergonomics of all the SW flight controls, they often place them far to high so they are visible in frame compared to real world examples

Thanks for all the input guys...as regards a gimbal base for the joystick...I know there are already 3 X-Wing simulators at the museum, so if he wants to make this cockpit interactive then I will look into printing your model Mozzie

So it doesn't look like I've done much, apart from painting it white but is actually a fair amount of work to get the wing to this stage, ready for colours and weathering...
