Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

I know this was mentioned before but for some reason the figure has him wearing his Wolverine boots even when wearing his civvies? Probably a hard call but anyone know if this is how it was in the film or maybe just lazy toy design?

Can't confirm, but he's supposed to be wearing his costume under his clothes (where was he hiding his cowl and shoulder paldrons?)

In my mind I can justify paying up for a nice leather jacket.

But any basic tee will work for me.
Yeah, I get that....I'm a bit of a suit lover, and have two from Tom Ford (Windsor), and several shirts etc....White tees too, I've found several here in Japan (Wonder Looper) that are just the best shirts I've ever worn, and they all cost upwards of a 100 dollars, so I have no problem with that...I don't train in them, but quality is worth the price for basics, I've found! (Just for me..)

And yeah, apparently he was in the boots during that scene, and they do reference it in the film of course, even if there's NO way he's wearing all that under the shirt and henley and jacket...LOL

Wolfman sent me a pic a few days back with the boots visible, even if hard to see....I'll post it up too...

From what i've learned, guys are getting suits from Simcosplay which look good but not 100% exact. Its a good base for the price (300 or less) ... There hasn't been any decent spandex body suits just yet, they've been improving over time but none are fully matching what we've seen, those go for 70 or cheaper.

For the cowl, as mentioned Jordan's Ironic Armory has made one but also updated the look as of today August 2. But there's 3d files out there, Yosh Studios does a good version.

For the shoulders, buckle, and gauntlets- BigFredsCustoms on Etsy has great files!

For fabric, i've got this link:

Parallel Life Studios has accurate fabric
The pic in the link is great, I see some more details that I didn't see before (which are also missing from the suits I've seen for sale online).
There's shiny black piping along the top edge of the yellow stripe below the hip, the bottom curve of the blue stripe below it, and separating the blue and yellow fabrics on the glove's thumbs.
Also, the fabric texture pattern is present everywhere, including the belt (it also confirms the black stripes on the torso also have the same texture). But the gauntlets have a honeycomb pattern for their yellow details instead of the square pattern elsewhere. And the details on the cast pieces on the backs of the hands is more clear.
Also, very accurate fabric source, but pretty pricey. $47 for less than a sqaure yard - yikes. I know it's impossible to get accurate fabric for cheap, though. Even using less accurate fabrics can end up being hundreds of dollars for this costume.

Got the Tom Ford white shirt in, and it's a very nice fitting shirt, expected, since it's 95% cotton and 5% elastane, which allows the shirt to fit smoothly and closely....Honestly is it worth it? Like all Tom Ford stuff, no. You're paying for the name, and the shirt, at this price, there's a load of better all cotton white shirts, pima or supima, sea island, etc, there's a lot of much better cotton choices, but I can see what they used the shirt for, and it really does make the body look great with the right fit...

Worth it? No...But a nice tee shirt if you've got the cash and like wearing white shirts, I do, so it's perfect, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else....I know several better companies for a simple white tee.....

Great review and information. I know it's super quick but does anyone know what tank top he wears at the end scene? Is it the same brand he wore in the other films,

Zimmerli 2071412 Richelieu Cotton Ribbed Tank Top

I know it's not showcased, but just a blink but I wonder what brand it is. I guess maybe someday when it goes to auction we might find out LOL

It looked like Cavill wore the Richelieu, in the turn back pics you can see the patterning and it's the same pattern or close to it, so I'd guess Zimmerli...So yeah, I'd also presume that they used Zimmerli for the tanks worn by Hugh too there..

So on this looooooong note from page 1, haha.... doing a rewatch of all the Xmen films to prep for DandW (seeing it tomorrow). By the time we got to X3....she thought his tank was really cool looking and wondered where I could get one. I laughed and told her about the years of research that's been done. I pointed her to the Richelieu and she noticed even in her quick glance that it's super thin but in the films it seems fairly thick.

are we still of the thought that maybe they doubled them and sewed it together? Or maybe just based his tank pattern on it and made it in house?
I just can't fathom that they were just not showing how thin they were due to lighting especially after my rewatch.

There used to be some good close enough out there but they dried up over time.

Very very good question because I thought exactly the same things like it looks the same but it's super thin in person so if anyone can answer this I would be super excited as well

The Zimmerli tops are often really hard to clearly see what's been done...I don't think it's two sewn together, but I think the vest has a quality that is best seen on screen rather than in person...To MY eyes, when I wear one, it's basically transparent....But the camera rarely seems to show that on the film used ones...Even here in Rocky, you can see the shirt IS thin, but his nipples can't easily be seen, and it's about the same with Jackman too...So I suspect not? Recently Zimmerli did change a few things, and I've not seen the new line....But I suspect they didn't do anything to the vest and it's just different on camera...(But we don't know..Just, it would be strange to double sew the vest)

I'm a huge rocking fan and I never realized that was the same brand that Rocky wears in the movie that Wolverine wears in the films as well.
Yeah, way back, obviously, but the exact same design and, at least up to the 2000's before they were bought out, the same fabric too... It's a fun little connection..Bruce Willis too...You'll never watch Die Hard the same...LOL

That's kinda the reason I'm not at all convinced by the two shirt sewn together theory...Even in these films, the fabric IS thin, but it doesn't look AS thin, so it is fairly likely that for whatever reason, the in hand, and the on screen version differ, the vest looks a little less see through when it's being filmed....It's kinda heart warming....LOL....I still don't wear mine as often as I'd like, because to me? They ARE see through...LOL...But if I was being filmed, it would probably be ok....

Never knew that either LOL I wonder why they chose particularly that brand as opposed to something a little cheaper and more readily available like canes or through the loom versus a more expensive undershirt? I mean cuz all of these characters by rights wouldn't be wearing something that expensive I know it's just pretending movie but still just interested in that that brand is used so often.. don't quote me I think on The Fast and Furious they used Calvin kline... which is a little more affordable.
