Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Probably because they get a whole heap of cash for costuming, and not much oversight, as long as it fits, so throw the most decent clothes that fit at the actors....Zimmerli isn't stupid expensive, just, more than a "basic" vest, so paying that is an easy one to justify, and clearly, the actors appreciate them enough to come back to them repeatedly....So that would be the reason.....If you're in it all day, filming? Makes sense to buy the best feeling fabric you can within reason...

Oooooor, and equally likely, they use (a place like) Anto's shirts for the clothes and Anto just carried that line regularly, so they got "found" there and the actors stuck with them because they knew it was a decent shirt...

There must be something about the camera lens and/or filtering, something that makes the fabric look thicker. This is right from the website, but also its very odd that the black version is still see through in their photos but not this one.

That's kinda the reason I'm not at all convinced by the two shirt sewn together theory...Even in these films, the fabric IS thin, but it doesn't look AS thin, so it is fairly likely that for whatever reason, the in hand, and the on screen version differ, the vest looks a little less see through when it's being filmed....It's kinda heart warming....LOL....I still don't wear mine as often as I'd like, because to me? They ARE see through...LOL...But if I was being filmed, it would probably be ok....
You're probably right, but what's weird is Logan's tanks don't look thin at all like Rocky's or McClane's, the ribbing seems far more substantial and thick but that could just be movie magic as you said.

You know it's truly amazing what we see on film, sometimes I'll see simple things like shooting locations and I guess it's Force perspective of how the lens is because maybe the mountains in the background look so much more close in the movie then when someone goes to the shooting location it looks like it's miles in the distance and not as big. I know some movies have certain tones they use like John Wick has green and blues depending on the screens and when it comes to props or wardrobe sometimes the colors don't look the same as what they truly are in person and what really blows my mind LOL is sometimes I've seen some actors look absolutely huge on screen and I'm thinking good Lord but then when you see a behind the scenes photo you realize they're way smaller just super jacked or cut and angles do a lot as well. When they say movie Magic they truly mean movie Magic don't they LOL

I agree entirely, it looks reasonably thick...And the in-hand fabric is VERY thin..But I still don't think they are doing anything to it...It just translates that way on screen...I think, as I show in the other pics, both of those look thicker than MINE looks to me, and the Jackman one looks about that...Thicker, weirdly...And given the pain in the arse it would be to sew two together? I suspect that's a HUGE push...The answer often IS the simplest one, and the simplest one here is that the fabric just films "thicker"....I'd lean that way....

Does it make sense? Nah, but as Kypro states, films love playing with reality to trick the eye, and lights and angles and film used all do change things so much that something we KNOW, IS, ISN'T.....I suspect it's like that...

Oh! Got this yesterday at the second viewing on IMAX here in Japan...Rather fun so thought I'd share...

Jealous. Had tickets for this last Sat. Showed up, theater was closed. They changed their hours and cancelled my showing. I got a refund but talk about being bummed. I watched all the xmen films the last two weeks to "prep" and ..... as of today there's no showing for this weekend which is mind boggling.

I'm hoping they just haven't updated the schedule. It's the biggest movie of the summer, I find it hard to believe they've pulled it already.

That's really beyond me.....Your cinema REALLY sucks.....Glad you got the refund too, they can't expect that to be ok with people...Japanese levels of service are high at the worst of times, but this? Would get people fired and the theatre shut down...LOL

Yeah I don't know if it was a corporate decision or a local one, I was really bummed but luckily they JUST updated their schedule and was able to grab some tickets during their NEW hours haha. So I can't wait. Even grabbed a new Wolverine T shirt just for the occasion. LFG!

Finally saw the movie today and wow. That was a beautiful movie. I thought that was great and Jackman was at the top of his form.
Not sure how we want to see the "canon" aspect of the multiverse logans but I noticed that
the short version
was wearing this belt buckle. It's pretty common. Easy to find on amazon or etsy, etc.

Was this the belt buckle at the beginning or at the end of the movie? Also I've been trying to find that green and white plaid shirt to no avail

I found a bloke on Etsy who has a few.. ordered one! I like/prefer the brass I think, although it could be silver used in the movie..
It's fairly common (which is rare for us). I've found several on etsy and on amazon. Definitely adding this to the collection as we haven't had a new belt buckle since DOFP.
I think I might like the brass one more as well and hey, does it matter? It's all variants, lol.

Yeah, it’s a common and reasonably cheap buckle this time, finally! Cool, simple, and Wolverine connected.. perfect

Hoping maybe someday if they do an auction and the green plaid shirt at the end Wolverine is wearing will be listed so possibly a name brand will be identified
