Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

**********! LMAO....Come ooooonnnn........

I'll be watching it in a day, it releases here in Tokyo on the 24th, so tomorrow at 5pm I'll be in there.....Will try to remember to let everyone know!

The new coat is nice but not to my taste if I was gonna do Logan..... I do like the Kuhl pants though and decided to go ahead and get a pair (even if we're not 100%).

Again we have Logan wearing stupid expensive clothing when he's supposed to be dressing like an everyman cowboy/trucker haha. I guess we had to keep up the trend.

I always loved that in "The Wolverine" he wore the Wolverine Raiders. Aside form the inside pun of them being Wolverines.... Logan wearing fairly affordable work boots instead of Fry's etc... made far more sense to me.

But, after seeing that final trailer for the film I'm 100% in. I was already ready for this but that trailer really got me. LFG!

One thing I DO appreciate a LOT, is that they've clearly added in quite a few looks to run with, even if ONLY those from the trailers so far, not counting the ones we've not yet seen....So there'll be more added for sure....I suspect those will cover most people's needs, and money situations too...I wouldn't worry too much.

The RLL jacket is a huge expense, and honestly, not really "worth it", since the jacket is low key, and not especially stand out, so I'd agree, best avoided for most, but it's fun to have it, and I like the look on me enough..Or will, once it dips below the recent 39 degrees daily....LOL....(Summer is HORRID this year...ANd ain't even started yet...)

I wouldn't worry too much, they'll have something for everyone I suspect.....Will let you know at 7pm tonight what the film jacket WAS in the end, but won't be posting anymore than that....

Well if the Kuhl pants aren’t actually what he wore on screen, I hope I at least found you a nice pair of pants you enjoy wearing :D LFG!

That's where I'm at. I ran up to a good store in Maine that has a lot of their product, tried a few on (though they didn't have that version) and even if they're not 100% accurate, I think they'll be a good purchase either way. (y)

Yeah, the jacket is the one with no front pockets, as I’d guessed! Although, it really is a scene only about as long as we’ve seen in the trailer, the trousers too.. all in all about 5 minutes or so!

The film was brilliant.. irreverent and entirely off script, but fun.. loads of stuff we ain’t seen in the trailers, some amazing.. genuinely..

Superb Wolverine film. Perfect Deadpool film, and a great marvel film, I enjoyed it a lot and will go see it again on Sunday..

Also! Out of nowhere! I got the news that the Logan X1 shirt should be completed and here in Tokyo by the weekend! So I'll be able to see what Magnoli was able to work up for the green/red/yellow X1 shirt too! I'm excited! Had no idea they'd finished it!

Just finished the film. Absolutely loved it. Have to disagree with you, fifthchamber, the jacket was definitely the version I originally posted, with the upper pockets. They were clearly visible for a couple brief shots
Hahah...Interesting! Then I guess we see what we want to see to a larger degree? (Scary..)

I'd dispute the "clearly" visible, since, that's not at all what I saw, nor my wife, but interesting if so!

I dunno man, I still don’t see it at all!

But, maybe! I’ll go check on Sunday again.. just in case.. I don’t disagree that bias can affect what you see, and the scene is so dark it’s hard to tell, but I saw nothing, and you saw it “clearly visible”, so, I’m second guessing myself..

New official image from Hasbro with the “Indigo” jacket. No shots of the back, I wonder if they’ll show the buttons or if they removed that on this too. Obviously not an accurate representation, but more than confirms the color of the jacket. No henley on this thing though which is weird. Maybe the back seams help us ID the pants

Sorry I’ve been away life has been a bit fraught, didn’t even end up wearing the outfit to the premiere.

Glad to see the pockets and color are settled, I will post photos later but I do squarely recommend the jacket I linked to before from Crush on Retro

Yeah, I spoke to Excellent Leather Shop too, and they're very likely able to source a leather with the same rough tone to it, with the pockets too...So that would be another cheap enough alternative..

I'm not a huge fan of the blue dyed leather...But I tried looking on the sites where I'd saved the jacket as a possible buy, and they're all gone now too...So (luckily, my wallet says..) I won't be buying the RRL version, I think mine is fine, and the warmer tones are better for me...I like veg tanned leather in deeper browns, over the more chrome tanned looking blue of this Indigo line (Although I'm aware it's veg tanned too..).

I also, really like the keeping of the chest pockets for Wolverine, since, he's nearly always had them, and it fits well for me...But, since the film doesn't show them, either one is basically "fine", I feel....

Also! For those in love of a more casual costume look? Super X released the Wolverine and Deadpool line of sportswear yesterday and those are rather fun! I got a hoodie and a couple of the short sleeve shirts too....They're fun as a half and half cosplay!

Lastly, there's NO WAY he's wearing the yellow costume UNDER the shirt and jeans! LMAO....That toy DOES have the boots on though...LMAO....Fun!

Well, he does remove the sleeves and shoulder pads later on, so maybe it's possible he has them stashed in his a pockets or a backpack nearby (maybe the collar area is also removable) and Deadpool put them on him. Obviously he didn't have his gloves on before he woke up either, so Deadpool would've had to put them on him.

Hey, while I'm at it, maybe this Wolverine comes from a universe where the X-Men have those "image inducers" that guys like Nightcrawler would use in the comics to make them look "human" in public by projecting a holographic image (or whatever) over themselves, and Logan is just using that to give the illusion that he has normal clothes on, and Deadpool got close enough to see through the illusion.

Of course, this is all just unnecessary positing by me, kind of like the old Marvel "No Prize," where fans would spot a mistake and write in (back when Marvel comics had a "letters to the editor" section) and try to give an in-world explanation of it in order to win the coveted No-Prize (which, as it turns out, Marvel would just send the "winner" an empty envelope in the mail).

At any rate, it's also impossible that his rigid cowl was hidden in his back collar the entire movie too. I've got nothing to explain that.

So this movie gives a lot of options for different Wolverine costumes, curious if anyone here tries any of the others?

I just saw some Wolverine cosplay suits already available, but I didn't see any that had the correct fabric - the ones I saw were either plether or spandex. I think the fabric is more like the Deadpool suit, but I haven't done any real research, was wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

Not sure if I'm going to attempt making his yellow suit, as it may be too ambitious for me (and the budget would likely baloon to more than I want), but who knows.

I also came here to ask what the “best” option is right now for the new yellow suit in terms of fabric/cut. A lot of the ones I’m seeing have weird padding on the pecs that make your moobs look rectangular lol. My plan was to find the most accurate suit available, then 3D print and swap out the parts like the shoulders, claw housings, etc. it would be great to get a maker offering some urethane or something similar versions of like the gauntlets and some of the pieces on the suit.
