My Wolverine costume build - yellow suit from Deadpool & Wolverine

That’s stellar. The comparison of yours to the mannequin in the first post of the movie used costume….. wow

You could diy those claws or new one you print with some wires custom fit to your knuckle height but you probably already know that.

The pics looks great and did all come together about perfect!

Thanks for all the likes and comments! I'm glad you all like it!

I have another Halloween costume event I'll be going to on this Saturday, so I'm going to try to get some of those upgrades and fixes I mentioned finished before then. I ordered a new set of gloves because I glued the yellow fabric on the old pair poorly, including gluing one piece in the wrong place, pulling it up to re-glue it only to have it pull the top layer of the glove off. I just realized, though, that I could probably just fix the gloves I had - even if I pull all the yellow fabric off and it rips the surface, I was planning on adding the blue shower curtain fabric to the gloves anyway, but still keeping the fingertips and palms as-is (which should be fine). Oh well, I can always return the gloves or keep them and just use them as winter gloves.

Other plans (not sure I'll get all of them):
- Fix belt (redo placement, buckle attachment, and back piece)
- Fix top (lengthen shoulder straps)
- Redo gauntlets (I bought thinner, better quality foam, and I may also 3D print parts of it in flexible TPU if I can)
- Add hook & eye to close up pants (above the fly)
- Fabric paint shading onto pants and top
- 3D print claw sheathes/back of gloves in flexible TPU
- Change eleastic straps on top to elastic velcro straps to make it easier to put on and take off
- Detail and weather the boots - I'm not sure if I can add actual stitching to them (without ripping them apart), but I might add some faje stitch holes using a tracing wheel.
- Add shower curtain fabric to shoulders of black undershirt. I used a long sleeve, fitted shirt and cut the sleeves off roughly, like in the movie, but it ended up being hidden under the padded top. It's not entirely necessary, but I might add it if I can.

Pretty long list , I know, so we'll see what I can actually get done in the next few days.

I also bought another yellow shower curtain to have on hand for repairs & upgrades - I didn't use 100% of the last one, but there's just scraps left. Plus, the pattern has to run vertically, so that limits how I can use those scraps - most of them are too narrow. Even if I don't use it now, I figured it'd be good to have on hand now, in case they stop making this particular shower curatain, or future versions end up being a slightly different color or pattern.

Once again, I ran out of time before I could get everything I wanted done. But I expected as much. I did remake the gauntlets and 3D print the sheathes in flexible TPU. But I didn't have time to remake the gloves or get the sheathe parts to line up with the claws properly.

I think the gauntlets are of better quality now, but they still aren't quite right. I might have gone too thin with the foam, which was 2mm thick, vs the old gauntlets being 6mm foam. Probably need to split the difference. Also, they could use some more shape - they're a little too straught & tube-like.

I did get the invisible zippers in these, which were an improvement over the velcro I resorted to on the first pair:

Here's the new sheathes. Even though they still weren't the right shape, I was pleased with the TPU and how flexible it is:

It was kind of a pain to clean up and remove the supports, though (compared to PLA filament). I had a lot of stringing problems, so I had to use a dremel to get rid of them all. I'll have to play around with the print settings later to see if I can fix it.

Wearing my costume a second time lead to some issues, like a few seams split (not too bad at least) due to the fabric not being very flexible, as well as its tendency to fray. I should've added pockets because I put more stress on the seams whenever I tried to get my wallet out of my shorts pocket. So now I need to make some repairs. The fabric of the collar loosened up, so that needs some fixing too, to add some rigidity.

I still plan on working on getting eveything on my list finished, but it'll take some time. I'll keep posting whenever I make progress.

OK, OK, ya, sick sick build and easily considered a dead match at anything over 5 feet away, even if you were the one looking......BUT DAMN.....YOU LOOK ENOUGH LIKE HIM... I had to literally double take on your first full suitup. WELL DONE SIR.
