Yeah, the biggest reason that I went with WSL over Suzahadi and magnolia is because whenever I had both the suede always felt very cheap and way too soft for in “apocalypse jacket “.

The jackets they make just seems more like prop jackets instead of actual outdoor jackets.

WSL has more durable and more realistically accurate material when it comes to outdoors. Even looking at the actual UGG that Rick Grimes wore in the show, the thing looks like it is durable and rough as hell.

I just didn’t like how cheap the jackets from Suzihadi and magnolia looked.

The WSL is very warm with the lining, did removing it make it less warm or is it warm just as it was before?

Tbh it’s way better then it was before, I live in Texas and I wear it outside, I don’t burn up whatsoever. Even without the lining it is still on the heavy side.

But it’s definitely one of the most comfortable jackets that I own. It’s like wearing a blanket.

I bet. Sometimes when I take a nap outside I ball up my jacket and use it as a pillow it's so comfortable.

I use to have another replica jacket I bought off a random website back in 2021 and honestly it was more comfortable then the magnoli. It was light, flexible and shoulders didn’t raise as much as the magnoli.

Yeah that's a nice one, I think it's possible they were maybe trying to recreate rick's jacket from the comics? Also with the not as know jackets they handle the shoulders pretty well, most of the small ones I've seen don't have the pointy shoulder problem.

I feel like this really points out the shoulder issue that so many replicas have had.
like I and so many others on this forum have said before it fundamentally comes down to the cut of the jacket itself.

I will say that the softer more supple suede is actually much closer to the real UGG than the rough and stiff suede that is used on the WSL.
So I wouldn't say the suede used on Magnolis or Suzahdis is "cheap" its just softer due to it being a higher quality suede.

But going back to the cut of the jacket..

With the UGG even when the jacket is zipped halfway up the shoulders are still very rounded because the jacket doesn't pull at the chest.
(plus the lining doesn't need to be removed to achieve this)

I feel like this is down to 2 things..

1. The cut of the jacket.
2. How soft and supple the suede is.

I feel like it would be hard to achieve this effect on the WSL for example, just because of how rough and rigid the suede is when compared to the UGG.

I can see your point when you talk about the cut of the jacket, even though the lining is removed, a hint of the shoulder lift problem is still present. The only replica of ricks jacket that I’ve come to find that does not have this problem is one of the smaller brands like real leather that have made this jacket without that problem.

However, when it comes to the suede, I can completely understand the finer material aspect of your analysis. But when I was looking at a picture of jacket to, when Rick was wearing it before the rate of a satellite station, the material does look really rugged, and I feel like WSL catches this in their jackets, rather than magnolia or Suzahadi does. The suite on the WSL has softened overtime as I come to wear it, so much to the point that it’s starting to feel like fabric, but obviously still rough because of the material.

I tried re-creating your poses that you did in your post so everyone can better analyze the difference between the WSL and the actual UGG when it comes to movement!

Yeah that's also a good point, I think WSL did a better job making the suede the same as the screen used one, but the two other brands tried to replicate the ugg.

Also I just noticed that jacket #2 has the highest kill count of the three. He wears it when he takes out a bunch of the people at terminus, the remaining terminites at the church, when he attacks the satellite station, and the when he and morgan take out all the saviors at the bar.
