They did but the UGG jacket has rounded shoulders even before removing the lining of the jacket.

It’s a shame no one can get the shoulders right even tho they got plenty of information and stuff on the actual UGG. I mean they pretty much got an exact blueprint on how to do it

It is. sadly I dont think we'll ever get a truly fantastic replica of the UGG. as of right now I think the best bet is Suzahdi for a few different reasons.
1. I will say the altered WSL jacket does look pretty good but the WSL jacket as always had a more "biker jacket" style to it in terms of the cut.
shorter torso and longer sleeves.

2. as much as I would love to find genuine shearling close to the ugg the faux shearling from Joanns is a nice alternative for people to swap out from the current replicas. either way it does look much closer even though its faux.

3. I would say when trying to choose between (Magnoli, Suzahdi or WSL) Suzahdis current jackets have been pretty good.
plus the quality of the suede is much softer and supple compared to the WSL jackets.
Also even though the color still isnt quite right the current Lycra that Suzahdi is using is definitely better than the competition (at least its brown haha)

That being said I think I would like to see someone take a Suzahdi and alter it like some people have been doing with the WSL
(swapping out the shearling with the faux shearling from joanns ETC

Looks amazing man! Honestly it’s better to just do what you did! Buy a WSL and then customize the jacket like you did lol looks way more screen accurate then any other replica I’ve seen

Think I might do the same, I have no idea what's happening with Suzahdi, tomorrow will be the 4 month mark and I've still not heard anything, they're not great at communicating.

I heard Suzahdi puts padding in their shoulders, is that why it does the boxing of the shoulders a little?

from what I've heard they use too and now they will if you request it.
so for some of they're older jackets that could be the case but again most likely its because of the cut of the jacket itself like many of the other replicas

It's such a shame, people have been working on this thread for over 5 years now and they still don't understand.

I asked for a Large but with a little extra on the sleeves and shoulders I believe.
They're not great at responding to messages though, I'm starting to look like a Nutter in my messages.

With the lining it does, but when I removed the lining from the jacket, it completely disappeared.

When you have the zipper slightly closed, is it still hard to lift your arms or is it easier now that the lining is gone.

It's such a shame, people have been working on this thread for over 5 years now and they still don't understand.

it is because they do have all the information but also something to keep in mind is at the end of the day they are a business.. for pretty much all of the companys making Rick's Jacket its far from the only thing they're making.
I think most of us can agree that the UGG is very unique in terms of its shape, cut and how it lays over the body ETC.

it seems like something gets lost in every replica thats made. some things are better on one replica while others are better on another and vise versa.

for example. the "Grimes Suede Jacket" from Magnoli isnt going to sell as well as their 10th Doctor "Time Suit"
So they're not going to put in the time and money to keep making different prototypes of a jacket thats not selling all that well.
(Even though if it was a truly great replica im sure most of us would buy it)

On the other side of the coin you may have someone like Suzahdi. Their Rick jacket is the best selling jacket that they make.
They have made major improvements throughout the years especially if you look back towards the being of this thread.
but... for something that sells so well and has continued to sell they may feel like they're version of the jacket is good enough.

Even though I believe Suzahdi currently has the best version I can still say that it is not perfect by any means.
I hope they will continue to take feedback from the community and improve their jacket more and more.

True! But for Suzahdi I Hope just over time their jackets will get more and more accurate to the UGG. I personally have a magnoli I bought off I think it was someone on this thread for half off on eBay. Wish I would’ve never bought it lol. The sides are an ugly purple color and the shoulders are the absolute worst I’ve seen. They go up like 2 inches when I raise my arms and it makes the jacket look terrible. I probably should’ve went with a Suzahdi or waited for a while anyway.

The only thing that makes the magnoli stand out is it has the closest lining to the ugg.

So what I did when removing the lining from the jacket, I kinda replicated what they did with the jacket in the show by removing all of the lining in the jacket, except the lining in the front where it contains the pockets. The jacket is much looser, and baggy.

The biggest problem with the WSL jacket is that whenever I raised my arms above shoulder length, the whole jacket would move up. But without the lining, while it still moves up a little bit, the jacket is more flexible and maneuverable now that the lining has been removed.

Especially if you want to wear it, how Rick does where it’s halfway zip down, the jacket barely moves whenever you lift your hands up above your head. So, depending on your size you order, it will obviously move up from your waist.

Yeah, the biggest reason that I went with WSL over Suzahadi and magnolia is because whenever I had both the suede always felt very cheap and way too soft for in “apocalypse jacket “.

The jackets they make just seems more like prop jackets instead of actual outdoor jackets.

WSL has more durable and more realistically accurate material when it comes to outdoors. Even looking at the actual UGG that Rick Grimes wore in the show, the thing looks like it is durable and rough as hell.

I just didn’t like how cheap the jackets from Suzihadi and magnolia looked.
