I found your thread and have been stunned again and again by each picture of your work. I myself am currently looking into making an EVA foam MK VI suit, and was curious where you found those pep files.
I assume the modified files are not for public use as you yourself paid for them (and whoever modified them for you might not approve either), but if you're willing to share those as well that would be astonishingly courteous. Nonetheless, I can understand that such data would be worth keeping private.

Hello. The files I used are a custom commission I had ROBO aka Paul do for me. I paid money for them so I won't be distributing them public. Not to mention that I don't use them in the normal fashion. It still takes lots of improvisation and imagination to make it work with foam. Thanks for the interest in my build though.

Hey Chris,

Not sure what I am going to do. I might try that Monster Makers Flex Gloss stuff.. that could be a great way to do things.

As for your anodizing paint idea... I don't know if that would work since my foam suit will flex/bend at times.. I'd be worried the suit wouldn't provide enough flex.

Thoughts?

The anodizing paint seem to be flexible, they worked on leather

Very nice. The secret in making Iron Man suit is keep appropriate shapes of suit and you made it. (Sry for lang plz)

This is SCARY good work. Though, be careful in the suit. EVA foam will bake you pretty easily in any heat.

Thanks! I totally know what you mean. My old foam Iron Man suit was hot.. but once my body adjusted it was fine. Please note I wear East Bay Compression shirts.. with EVAPOR so it actually helps keep my body cooler.

Thanks! Don't give up. I thought I was going to give up awhile back but just kept going forward. It was the work of others that kept me motivated.

Small Update. I finished both boots now...

I still have to do the palms/fingers and the spine piece then I'll have all the main parts build.. then it's time to prep everything.
