Dude! Your build is awesome. I was pointed in your direction by CHris Fields. I didn't realize there were more nerds in my area. I want to do a Halo Reach suit in foam, so I'll research your build for ideas. Anyways, great work so far. Good luck!

Great work, build..etc..etc Best thing foam is the mobility

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

This is coming along GREAT!!!!! The detail is awesome. I've put all my builds on hold for now (because of moving) but I do have a question for you.
How are you taking care of seems on the curved parts of the suit/helmet? If your doing anything at all. Or are you leaving the seems and filling with an epoxy/filler?

I will get pics of the paint job in the sun when I have at least the upper torso done.. having painted pieces next to the gray pieces doesn't look so good. lol
It looks like you're getting a nice even red (final) coat.

I think you need to get that bad boy out into the sun tomorrow (if it's going to be sunny) and give us some good 'direct sunlight' pictures. I think the shiny red will really pop in sunlight!

Can't wait to see more of the paint job! :):thumbsup

Thanks! I should be fine. I am going to get this thing painted and too a good point where I'm proud to wear it out.. I am toying with the ideas of fiberglassing over it when done to create more of a rigid armor that I could maybe clean up and cast from in the future.
looking good! let me know if you need any help as well. I'll be leaving for dragoncon next wednesday, and am working on shields and such, but I would love to help!

Thanks!

WOW Thanks! That means a lot.. Delray's is the bomb.

Thanks! Yes there are more nerds in the area than I originally thought as well. Glad to meat you. I'd love to help you out if you ever need it.

Yes, yes it is.

I am leaving the seams.. they aren't really easy to hide unfortunately. However I don't really care anymore.. the rest of the suit when painted will be cool enough that I doubt people will notice or car about seams... plus I plan on weathering the hell outta this thing so hopefully all will be hidden or unnoticed.

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

Amazing build that has inspired me to test out the creative side of my brain. Been following the build daily and since I've finished a Daft Punk Guy and Boba Fett pep. Next to test my hand at hardening these builds as I need to look no further for what I liked my finished work to look like.

You may not be getting paid for this but know that to some knowledge is worth more than gold.

Re: EVA Foam Mark VI Iron Man Build - Partial Right Arm Paint-Up Pics! 8/26

I don't have time trust me. I've been building this since early February... so it's been 7 months. I work full time during the week and have little time on the weekend and maybe a couple hours 1 or 2 times a week. I wish I had more time. I'm starting to get stressed about the Halloween deadline as a matter of a fact.
