Here's a short list of recent learnings from Wand Company pronouncements about the tricorder, repeated here because people seem to ask about these particular points frequently:
- Yes, it has the scanner sound.
- Yes, you can override the moire and lock it in any position you like.
- Yes, you can turn off the moire backlight.
- The price point should be no more than $350 (plus tax and shipping).
- Yes, it's made from tough ABS, but no, you can't use it as a hammer.

The lower compartment dividers are specially cut to hold a med scanner. Now watch, there's going to be an aftermarket for 3D-printed dividers to hold a Tootsie pop.

I loved the books Shatner wrote in the late 90’s and early 00’s. The trilogy in the multiverse where Emperor Tiberius was over the Terran Empire.

Ahhh, so I apparently misunderstood. I thought it was user accessible (i.e. We could swap out the microSD card with a different one, to add our own data/enhance the functionality of the tricorder.

For now at least, the 203 Captain’s Logs and the 30 other assorted logs will only be available on the Tricorder as covered by our license. We will however have a detailed listing of them on a special web page that will help Tricorder owners find the logs that they particularly want to listen to, although this webpage will not have associated audio.

The slot is on the left hand side of the hood as you are looking at it. There are at least three images where it is visible.
