Just thought I'd put up some quick bullet points of answers (from TWC) to questions I've seen here and on the blog more than once:
- Yes, the tricorder has the scanning sound.
- Yes, you can turn off the moire backlight.
- Yes, you can override the moire spin and lock it into whatever position you like.
- Yes, it will make you a martini and rub your feet.

Isn’t it interesting that the props that seem to be the most replicated, and the most popular across all the different versions within the franchise, are the ones from the 60-year old Original Series?

The closest to their design are the SNW props. But they of course, are copying our beloved TOS.

A few years ago when I was doing work on some original TOS stuff, JVC at CBS told me that by far, the most popular franchise in marketing, sales, popularity, etc is TOS. I am sure that is still true today.

Why am I not surprised? The shows were often very well written thanks to DC Fontana and Gene Coon (and a small host of mainstream SF writers), the acting was excellent (occasional scenery chewing by Shatner notwithstanding), and the designs by Wah Chang and Matt Jefferies are classic. What's not to love?

Most all my meme’s and gifs that I post are my own creations using elements already available somewhere on the WWW….
I just think from my own mind of what’s humorous to me….or I read a catalyst from someone posting and saying something. I can then, at times, represent graphically or gifing (animated) or convert videos to gif and put those elements together and present them as you see them.
Although I have an antique version of Photoshop….I use simple free online barebones tools from …yes…the WWW….and my Crapple IPad Mini 4th Gen. Sometimes I use more than one tool to achieve my end results. Sometimes I laugh to myself, because after posting one of my creations, I tweak, edit, in real-time after I’ve already posted…just to re-post. My thoughts are quite fluid as things to improve come to mind.
Btw….I’m no expert, professional ‘in the art of’ in what I create artistically to post.
What I try to do is brighten my day and maybe brighten the day of those viewing what I create and post. They are funny, corny, dumb, dark humor, crude, and to some…insulting….but in my own mind, it’s all Hilarious. Plus I have time…I’m Retired! until death
