Good question. One of the things they're waiting on, IIRC, is regulatory approval, which could slow things down a bit. I wonder if it's FCC.

Tricorder update #7 listed the “radiation” data disc as having “EM field scanner and graphing FM radio scanner with FM radio player capability.” Maybe related to this?
