If it supported an SD card, it would be helpful.

Pshaw! That would be a TERRIBLE location for an micro-SDHC slot. Most that I'ved used had a spring-to-release feature, with about 1mm-2mm of the card exposed to touch. Such a protrusion would jam the hood mechanism. Also presents a possibility for the card to fall out and jam the mechanism. I don't think TWC would be that foolish on something they've so carefully designed.

That said, the schematic they published .. was it YEARS ago? ... shows something square at about this location. So I could be wrong. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It would be much better placed in the bottom compartment somewhere, out of sight and easier to access.

I could be misremembering, but I seem to recall that it was going to be non-removable, just buried in there. I also seem to recall it was removed from the design altogether.

But I might have made all that up, this thing has been going on forever and I've slept at least twice!

Here is a nice, in depth summary of the progress and updates of the Wand Tricorder, as of Feb 2023. I have not seen it before, and I'm not going back through 62 pages to see if its already posted here, if it is, it's buried.
