The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Got the invite just now and ordered. Creative financing and all that jazz - you know the drill kids! Another set of payments, but oh well…(y)

Yes. Same for me too. I still am dubious that it will ever arrive.
Yeah I ordered last Thursday, but I just got a text from my bank saying payment had just been taken out of my account today, still hasn't shipped yet, must mean they are getting ready to ship it. Its ironic that happened right after I got the email invitation and it restocked. I wonder if they ran out, now they are robbing Peter to Pay Paul, to catch up on orders with the new stock that just came in.

This was a post I saw on another Forum. Not sure if it's true or not.

Wand just sent new invitation to purchase a Tricorder, but warns that stock is moving between distribution centers and delivery won’t be until later in July.

YYYAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!

I just went on lunch break and retrieved my phone to find that I have now missed out on the second Amazon listing!

The downside of working at a studio is that you are not allowed to have your cell on set. So, I can't be checking it except during breaks. :(

It seems the listing was up for approximately 2 hours this time before selling out. I got an email and went back and forth on whether or not to buy a backup. I sold my previous backup to a friend at cost. I ultimately ended up snagging one just to keep in the box.
same< I ordered two.

I have 3 phasers, (one is an SD Studious B&W) and 3 communicators (one is the re-released version), thinking I might sell them some day but never did, even when the phasers are going for $800 or more on ebay. They are so cool I just wanted back ups.

Also gave a Wand phaser and communicator to a friend back when they were only $150 each, I('ll be watching to see if they discount like the phasers and communicators, if so I will snag up some more. You see what happens to the price after a while. I remember buying a Case of 10 DST tricorders from Toys R Us for $35! back in the day. sold them a few years later for $35 ea! should have waited,....

I did see a note appear on mine in the order history, after I ordered it, Pre-order for Aug 31st, but the next time I checked it was gone.

What about having a friend order one ?

Looks like I missed out again and no invite this time

Hate to say this but they really fubared this to no end

Yeah. I don't know why they don't lock the listings out. I think you can on Amazon. There are a couple people here who bought again with no invite. Sadly when I got the invite it was around 11am after my work break and I can't be checking email every minute of the day. I left work at 3:30. A 12 hour shift...

I want to be clear: I DID receive a 2nd invitation email...I just got the news of Amazon availability from the RPF first. If I had waited to check my email I probably would have missed out on it again. I check the RPF more often than my email. So I did have a (2nd, new) invitation. Also, just for the record, I only ordered one. :)

I also want to be clear, I received an invitation to order as well. I originally purchased my allotted 2 but passed one on to a friend/fellow RPF member at zero profit. I clicked the link about an hour after I got the email and even went back and forth, checking the link multiple times to make sure it was still active, giving people time to order before deciding to recoup my 2nd one. They were still active quite a while after I ordered. So the rush IS slowing down. Another batch or two and the market will be saturated.

If I receive this one and someone on here who has tried multiple times still doesn't have one, I'll gladly send this one on to someone else at no profit. I ultimately only want 2. one for display and one to keep pristine in the box. I have no doubt I'll be able to do that with the large numbers that are being produced, whether it's now or later.
