The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Got mine yesterday; two days ahead of schedule. It very nice although one thing is bothering me and I'm not sure if it's normal or not. When ever the scanning sound plays I get a popping sound from the speaker about every second. It's not super loud but I hear it and I don't feel like I should with a prop replica of this caliber. Normal or should I go through an exchange?
change out with a new set of batteries, low power is almost always that resulting problem.

Zzzzzzzzz for US invites.
They are sending out new invites. I got another invite at about 11:10am eastern time and was able to put it in my cart and it said it would be delivered between July 15th and July 21st, I did not order it but it at least let me go up to the place the order step.

I just received another invite even though I already received mine a few days ago. Act now if you didn't get one last time!

(Edit: For the record, I am not buying a second Tricorder.)

I think I figured out why I got another invite even though I had a;ready bought one. At the bottom of the invite are 3 buttons for "I was able to buy a tricorder", "I tried but it was out of stock" and "I'm no longer interested in buying". I'm guessing if you bought one but did press I was able to buy one it is going to keep sending you invites.

That's a known software bug. Wand is working on a software update for that.

Having had mine for many weeks now, I can finally say I have two very small gripes. First, the clock runs slow, losing a couple of minutes in just a few days. Second, they went with a satin finish for the aluminum side rails instead of a high polish like on the show. I'm actually on the fence even about the second complaint, as I have to admit the satin rails look more unified with the rest of the metal, and the polished disks stand out more that way.

Overall, I'm still tickled pink with it and I still play with it every day (and consequently have to charge it every night). :D
