Yeah, I actually just got my "invite to buy" e-mail a couple minutes ago, lol. Ordered!![]()
That's worth a re-run...

Thank you sirTo say I'm excited is a bit of an understatement!
Exactly, it'll become available in Amazon US after they've air freighted them here. And despite the ambiguity in the latest email, I'm sure US customers will get invites then.FYI, it is not for everyone to see. I have an Amazon account and it is not showing up for me here in the US, and when I flip it back to UK, it is still not shipping to my area. So no it's not open for everyone. And I refresh it all the time.
Seems like the best things come to those who wait.
I just had my invitation to buy my Tricorder and it is arriving Friday. A nice treat for the end of the week!
Invite received and ordered - delivery tomorrow - Wey hey!!!!! I’m in the club!
Got the invite and ordered, Delivery tomorrow
I know I've now ordered mine and all, but is it wrong that I find myself jealous you guys are getting yours so much sooner?![]()
Yep, being towards the top of the list having registered on day one, and having 2 sitting there in pending status since 04/23 where they're likely to just be eventually cancelled rather than shipped, it's admittedly a bit painful to see them now being released all over the place, especially on the FB groups (yes I know, staying in that cesspool purely for information purposes... I'm a glutton for punishment) where everyone is complaining and boycotting one minute, then buying multiples the next minute.
The ebay numbers are growing too. shame shame.
I feel ya. You're handling it far better than some I've seen. Some people have the pitchforks out for Chris because the latest email is a bit ambiguous about emails to US customers, as if there won't be enough tricorders to go around in any case.
As for FB, I was just on there this morning. I no longer follow the Wand Collectors group (a collection of clods if ever there was), but there's a guy I follow because he's made pretty good products over the years, and I've bought from him. He recently posted that the Wand tricorder has something about it that "just seems off" to him.
Of course, what he didn't bother to add was that he's trying to sell his MR on eBay because he needs the money, and it hasn't budged. So the usual suspects are piling on, reinforcing the nonsense that there's something ineffably "wrong" with the Wand tricorder...
Lord, deliver us from the whiny, ungrateful fanboys...
Those are trivial. My biggest gripe is that mine is invisible and gives no tactile feedback whatsoever. My toy isn't here soon enough!
My toy hasn't detected a single Gorn!
My toy medical scanner doesn't fit inside my toy tricorder right!![]()
Exactly. He's throwing shade at the Wand hoping it'll drive interest in his MR listing. Very sad, actually.BOLD #1: Yeah, I've been reading some of the back and forth from today regarding that, about how he didn't make it absolutely crystal clear that e-mails would be sent to US customers later on. I'm sorry, but if you have at least half a brain it stands to reason that if stock is going to wind up in Amazon US warehouses then the same rules for the invite e-mails will apply when the US stock is available. Oy vey.
BOLD#2: I saw that comment too, found myself scratching my head at that. When asked to clarify, he instead just kind of avoided answering it and again reiterated it looked "off". Didn't bother going into any detail into how.
