The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Don’t know why some orders are beyond ordered and past dispatch for May 7….I’ll just monitor updates. I to had the issue of credit card declined by my bank….so I just updated with other card….perhaps I’ll see the update to reflect “dispatched” seeing how the payment info is new for charging….
If your card has been charged, shipping--er, dispatch--is imminent.

I wonder how many people who ordered yesterday ordered more than 2 and if there is anything in place to stop people from ordering 2. I'm really going to be PO'd if these start showing up on ebay where it seems that one or two people got a lot more than 2 and are selling them at a huge mark up.
Capitalism is capitalism around the planet….even when it’s unscrupulous….

What I still don't understand is if TWC is flying in about 1000 units to the UK they why couldn't they have flown some of them to the US so they were already in the country before the tariffs take effect. If they were working with Amazon UK why couldn't they work with Amazon here in the US?

My order says "arriving May 20", and not dispatched. My guess is that I managed to wedge the order through on Amazon's site, but missed the initial inventory that is shipping to others by May 7. Hopefully that's a sign that more stock is expected soon?

They are definitely in the process of loading another 952 units as we speak. After that there's a shipment in transit from China, and more in the manufacturing pipeline. They are birthing these things as fast as humanly possible.

A friend I know is getting his by tomorrow . But he lives in the UK . ;) ;)
Yeah, somebody in the UK posted on FB today that they received theirs. The post had a picture of the product box on his dining room table, so it's legit as far as I can tell.

My order now says May 8! It might be interesting to see if this first batch has any common manufacturing quirks/fit and finish issues, compared to later batches.

Looks like FANATICO is the one to beat with a May 6 delivery date. Anyone with May 5? Do I hear May 5? May 5 anyone?

I'll wager the answer to that is none at all. They physically inspected every unit that came in from the first batch, and only found a couple of product boxes with some sort of slight scratching, and a single defective disk.

Relax, there was screwup yesterday.

I'll let Chris explain:

Be patient, and whatever you do, don't be this guy:

Don't worry about them running out. The factory minimum order is 10,000 units, and they will undoubtedly make even more if there's demand.

Here's what Andrew Stockdale said about the inspection on Instagram:

HOLD UP! Apologies for the slight delay.

I have some insider information. Over many years, we have found that Star Trek fans are some of the most detail oriented people and can be quite particular about their collectibles. Some call it fussy or pedantic, but as one myself, I call it REFINED TASTE.
As such, we thought it prudent to check 100% of the initial batch of tricorders.

We found some with marks on the box, some small scratches that we were not happy with, and a single faulty disc. Not bad out of hundreds of units.

People jumping on and ordering before they got the email noticed to do so is not a reflection on the wand company.

It’s irritating, actually to see all the naysayers still complaining about the company, after all the transparency they’ve shared with us along the way.

How many companies have required a pre-order down payment, just to go out of business and take your money with them? Including some of the sellers on this very forum!

To post a copy of the interest documentation and telling people that we are suckers, is personally infuriating to me.

Buy one when you get the opportunity, or don’t buy one if you decide it’s gonna be too much! But for heaven’s sakes, please stop whining and calling the wand company names!

Yes…of course…they mean well. I suppose it’s a lessons learned not only for TWC, but it’s customer’s as well.

Don’t fret…I’ll be off this thread soon enough. You’ll be especially happy! :) and I suspect so will others. My business with TWC and visibility will come to its finality when I have the Tricorders in hand.

For now I’ll keep posting until said time. But I can assure you…. I definitely won’t be sticking around come the foreseeable critiquing that will ensue here on this thread when folks start receiving their tricorders….no doubt!

That’s got to bring a sigh of relief and happiness to you. You see, it’s not at all that bad now is it? Give it time like waiting for your Tricorder as we all are.
