Don't forget tariffs are supposedly added when the item "enters [the US] for consumption" or "is withdrawn [from a bonded warehouse] for consumption." So depending on when it ships, tariffs could still apply. We're not in the clear just yet.

Interesting…I was able to place my order but haven’t received an email from Wand letting me know I could place my order.

This is a mess! Yes, I want one but seeing what you guys are going through it’s not worth the stress. I’ll wait until this all calms down. If I miss out, oh, well. It’s not the end of the world.

It took me several tries with errors that the tricorder wasn't in stock, then my "order" finally went through. I guess we'll see if it sticks. I haven't gotten any email from The Wand Company yet.

I've noticed with their other email blasts that there can be a few hours between people receiving the email. I think that's pretty standard for bulk email platforms. To avoid getting flagged as spam, and to allow time to correct mistakes before the email goes out to everyone, the platform sends the emails out in batches.

I placed the order, it went through, I got the confirmation email.
Then a few minutes later, I checked the listing and see this.

I'm with you, I'm not willing to pay for a tariff that might go away. I have enough toys/projects to keep me occupied, I'll wait.

Here’s a nightmarish rub…..

I’ve preordered 2 through Amazon UK shipping to the U.S……

What if Wand emails the link for me to buy tricorders, and I dismiss it, since I’ve purchased already through Amazon UK.

Thennnn Amazon UK notifies me that they’ve made an error in making the tricorders availability against per contractual agreement with Wand who was to be the ones to release the emails first, to it’s interest list buyers.

So then Amazon cancels my order…..and since I’ve dismissed the wand invite email to buy…..I’m a#& out either way….2 opportunities lost.

Then I find myself in a sold out situation no matter where I look.

What a bad scenario.

So if/when you get the email, place that order first, then go back and cancel your pre-order.
