Limited Run Sign up thread for NEW Luke V2 light saber run. Spring 2018 edition (SIGN UP CLOSED)

Re: Sign up thread for NEW Luke V2 light saber run. Spring 2018 edition (SIGN UP CLO

Look inside the left clamp bar. There is a square block there which can be removed (might require some tools to force its removal) but that is the bar you’ll use.
now on the right side of the clamp, there is a square hole that prevents you from being able to screw the lever in while the clamp is on. If you carefully use a drillbit or round file to make that rectangular hole just round enough for the lever to spin it should be very easy to assemble and tighten your lever while the clamp is on the saber. I believe there is a video somewhere detailing this process.
finally if the clamp bars are being troublesome you can put the clamp on your saber, then over bend the bars together (like I had to) which helps the lever grab as well as helps the clamp card from slothfurnace fit snugly

I did apply all your tricks and it worked out very fine. :)
Thank you guys.

Not the best picture (taken quick because I've a wedding to attend today), but wow. Thank you to all those involved in producing this, it's stunning.

It's a good thing I bought 2 sets of stencils (spare set as you never know), because it's some might hard work weeding and setting them, but overall I've super happy with it

Inigou how did you get the brassy color on the neck? That saber looks PERFECT.

Thank you!
Is a layer process. Vallejo liquid metal copper over a black base, used a stancil brush with thinner to dilute in areas, and dry brush black acrylic paint. Is an adding removing technique until you get desired result. so is not easy to explain. Use always different paints for the layering. My base is epoxy, vallejo copper is alcohol based and acrylic is water based. That way the paint des not get mixed when adding his thinner to remove the areas.

Question for the thread... how the hell did y'all get the D-ring in the saber? I am having a hell of a time trying to get this thing in there.

I used channellocks to open them and then close them on the hole.
