New Studio Scale X-Wing Revisited

Just incredible!. You guys have done a top notch job, thinking through everything right down to the smallest detail. Youv'e really made it look too easy, but in reality not so!.
The build-ups speak for themselves.
This is looking like it will be one of the most user friendly SS kits ever produced!.
Heaps of pats on the backs of all concerned.

Thanks to everyone for your words:thumbsup
We will upload more updates soon.

If you're planning on getting one of these you'll need these.

Posted with permission of the OP. They have trouble getting the brass, so I am going to help them fill in the gap. I just recently found a great local source that seems to keep it in stock.

Yeah, thanks micdavis.
We will not be able to include the brass tubing with our kit because they are not easy to find here.
We will include a blueprint of the guns with all the instructions to build that section.
I will upload it here later for everyone to have it and for Micdavis to compare it with his version so we can get a match for our revisted version and make things easy for everyone.

Wow, just caught up with this. What a great job guys. Everything looks so neat and crisp. The proportions of the ships look just dead on. Think the bar just got raised again....

Much respect!:)

I just finally saw this! Man, I am jealous of everything! Your X-Wing, the cleanliness of your build, the quality of your pictures, the website...everything!

*Lowers head in shame and sets fire to closet full of models* :lol

If you guys ever decide to sell the fuselage or gun building instructions alone later on down the road, please lmk.

OH!! Isnt casting XWINGS FUN!!!!!!!

Not.

Hi everyone.
Sorry for the delay in the updates. :$

Here are the pics of the first run of casts of our X-Wing.
As you can see in the pics we are still waiting for more molds to
be ready so the kits are missing those parts.

We were able to casts these parts with almost no bubbles.
The ones that randomly appear can easily be repaired with putty.
If that's not the case we dismiss that cast.

For all of you who have asked me for a price for this kit we will release it as soon as we know how much resin we use in a complete kit, the cost of a good box and for the different variants of the kit, that is: with the aluminium armature and other special features we want to offer.
We ask you please to be patient with us, we are working as hard and as fast as we can and we will do everything we can to have a kit for all of the people interested in it, of course this may take time because we need to ensure the quality of every kit we cast.
This is a dream for us too and we also just can't wait to build and paint one ourselves:lol:love:love

I hope you enjoy the pics.
Bests:
Rod

Rodmart - that fourth image down, the profile shot, is the one I've been waiting to see. Don't know if you ever saw my V3 build but I was forever going on about the V3 fuse being too stubby in the profile view to truly work as a hero, which are all long, thin suckers in profile, it seems to me. I'm thrilled to see your version corrects this, and provides a good slender profile. You're a dream come true! But come too late for me, sadly. Think I'd go mad if I found myself ordering a 3rd SS X. But congratulations anyway.

Oh, in that same photo - a word to the wise, if I may make so bold - I think I'd try and get the lower wings on at a slightly lower position if it were mine... (you can trust me, I got praised for my wing angle by no less than RPF X-wing gods, Moffeaton and Beaz, lol - and me just a noob...) but obviously it's just my 2 cents!

All I can say is WOW!!! and that I want one very very much, hopefully I have the cash when this kit comes out, Still have 4 things on my work bench to complete but I do see some potentialy vacant space, "move over SS TIE" :) Great work guys its looking great.

Fantastic kit!
I actually stumbled upon this while looking for info on a Fine Molds kit!
LOL.

I am guessing this will cost a little more, but looks to be worth it.
I am ready to buy my own brass or get it from MicDavis (Thanks for sourcing that!)

:D

I'll even take one of the ytest ones that has that screwed up lower wing angle...
:rolleyes:love

This is what I like to see when a new kit is announced. *Actual* resin parts!

Love it! Want it!

:-D
