I'm interested in picking up the following parts from you:
Marbled Green Core (is the bottom one on post #284 spoken for?)
Marbled Green Emitter (same color as core above if available) with an emitter retaining screw?
Cast Resin White Grip Handle
Filister Screw for Handle
It doesn't look like you offer the water jet claws and retainer as an assembly but if that were an option I'd consider it. Also noticed that you had posted a photo of a molded spacer piece you used at one time to limit the opening action of the claws which is stronger than the original CO toy part. Is that is a recommended part for a diy conversion project?

Mine just came in today, and I'm speechless! Gene, this is truly a work of art. When I held one of my modded CO toys in my hand, as good as it looked, it still felt just like what it was--a TOY. This Sonic feels like a real TOOL...it has heft to it and makes a satisfying metallic click when I flick it open (it's still a little stiff, but I know that the action will get easier with time. The only thing I want to change with this is to possibly get some brass nail heads and epoxy them to the "pins" on the copper cage to give it a little more texture and screen-accuracy. Someone on this forum (not sure if it was this thread or the other one about your Sonic conversion) talked about doing that and I wonder if they ever did. As soon as I can get a hold of a small enough Allen wrench I'm going to swap out the green emitter for the blue one and take some pictures of it in "Metebelis 3" mode! Thanks so much, Gene...this is definitely one of my prized possessions now!

Another mod to my Sonic I wanted to share: I went to Michaels and found little iron-on brass studs that were just the right size to cover the "pins" on the bronze cage...a little epoxy and about ten minutes' work later, and this is the result:

Thanks! It really does add a great deal of texture and realism to that section, for all the more work it took to do. And it'll look even better once everything's had a chance to weather up a little...

It certainly is possible. The current central holder for the deluxe claws can easily be modified to fit the old claws.
