I should have received mine on Monday, but thanks to our wonderfully incompetent USPS, who knows at this point.

The sand-blasted finish is a little different than those on the previous clan series. Was this intentional, or a neccesity of production?

Also curious about this as it is noticeably different than the other three which are all a perfect match. My only other critique is the loose pommel fins. Not a big fan of having to use glue to secure them when it should just be mechanical, or the slight gap it leaves in the channels as this appears to be an inaccuracy. Overall though, very nice and I can't wait to weather it this weekend!

Not intentional i did ask the shop and they said they used the same process as always. However it is brighter than usual.

To make it more matte i normally use a matte clear coat or recently a customer of mine recommended this:

I understand. I found a way to make it more secure by adding a thin oring between the coupler and the top of the fins. I will try to include them on the ones that will ship tomorrow if im able to source them quickly localy. Ill send you one ASAP.

The oring is a 1mm thick by 30mm ID.

I think I overshot on the tolerances because the prototypes were basically stuck and had to hammer them out. I should have requested another prototype just to make sure. This makes me rethink the approach I will have on the Maul as it shares a very similar design. I will redesign it and make sure this is not present.

I apologize for this and I understand this is not what you expect from a product.

Do you have a part number for the o-ring?
