Done / Completed Clan Saber Craft #2: Shaak Ti - Barriss Offee

I read above that you are ordering more components for those that want to build custom sabers. Do you also plan to offer more complete hilts? I missed out on ordering the Shaak Ti, and I'm kicking myself for that mistake. BTW, I know that this is the wrong thread, but I received my series 1 hilt yesterday, and it is exquisite. I'm blown away by the craftsmanship.

Thanks for the kind words. There will be a listing of a few more shaak ti's n barriss very soon, these are b grades but quite honestly they look good, specially if you are going to weather it.

Since you mentioned weathering, do you have any recommendations on how to go about weathering these hilts? I was trying to add some weathering to the grooves but I'm having some trouble due to the smooth anodized finish and it isn't quite matching.

If you have any recommendations or happen to do an example I'd love to see how it turns out. Not sure if you have any plans to do a short tutorial video but would be great to see.

Thanks in advance.

I use some matte clear coat as foundation so that it sticks to it. I do about 3 or 4 light coats and normally that does it. I do not consider my self an expert on the mater though.

Will the B Grades be my last chance for a series 2? I don’t weather my hilts and would prefer an A Grade. I’m willing to wait for a second run. However, if you don’t plan on producing a second run, I’ll plan on a B Grade to avoid missing out entirely.

The b grades are just minor dents and scratches on the main body, the rest of the parts are A grade.

Here are a few of the defects

The only reason I will have these available is because the shop had like 20+ bodies with these defects and they were going scrap them. I figure it be best to let the customer decide if its good enough or not, so I requested them to be completed.

I am not planning a second run. However there will be an ongoing run of sections that you can buy to recreate it. This is more than likely work better once I have produced all 4 series. So in 2025 this section in the shop will have all of the clan series parts. The downside is that these will not have the collectors box (by Christian Cruz) that come with each Clan Series run.

The B grades have been finished and will arrive here in about 2 weeks. I will be opening the purchase link on Monday September the 30th (7am US central time). Very few qty's so be prepared.

Thanks

With the existing Clan Series 2 page on your website be used for ordering, or will you have a special “B” grade page?

New listing, it will be in the same section here: Clan Saber Series
It will show up in the first slot since the automatic filter is set to list the new ones first. The name of the listing will be: Clan Saber Series #2 (B-Grades)

Sorry to say that I tried to order 2 sabers, but shipping to France with first class shipping was 104€ or 200+ with the other option, so I had to give up. That is very weird for first class shipping. Too bad as I really liked the sabers.

I received my B-Grade ST hilt today. The craftsmanship is incredible, but it didn’t come in the collectors box. Based on your previous post I was under the impression that it would.

The entire reason I bought the B-Grade instead of waiting until 2025 to part out a complete A-Grade hilt was to get the box. Not a huge deal, but it is a little disappointing.

I re-read my post and can see why its confusing, should have been more clear. My apologies.
