An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

I believe that is the kit that I used.

Any suggestions as to what these two parts are?

I think ?1 is a cut down Parts 1 or 6 from the Panther G, but I'd like confirmation.
?2 I have no clue. I am not seeing it in either the Panther G or the ME-109.

thanks

Oh yes, that's definitely the ME109, I have that. I am speaking about the part that's under it. The ME-109 part is sitting on some kind of plate, but I am not sure what it is.

Great, that's what I was thinking. That wrap around plating is made of two parts, the part you have shown here, and a cut down of the much wider parts 1 & 6. So I think that bit at the top is a left over of one of those wider pieces. I'm not sure.

part 2: have a look at Bandai 1/48 75mm German Anti Tank Gun, #11 (—edit:—I had missed this has already been answered, apologies!)
The color on John’s map is very similar, coincidentally, to the other two kits you mentioned, and this part has no number on the map, but if you open it in PS it is marked correctly :)

I gotta fix that. :) New computer is coming next week and work has finally settled down so I can get back to finishing/correcting these up.

Doing a little molding this morning. I’ve really been struggling with the littlest of pieces, but each one gets a little better. The little triangle shaped Hyuga piece on the radar base is awful.

Hi John,
Those panzer iv parts look pretty good to me.
Could I ask a big favour, when you cast the Yamato bits, if it’s not too much trouble could you do enough for two Falcons for me? I will pay accordingly.

Regards
Graham.

I got you Graham. Just double check me here. We need nine of them for one ring correct?

Nice way to ask for a little help. Suggest this be done as a PM. No doubt a 5ft. Studio Scale Falcon is nearly impossible to accomplish without the many helpful “guides” on this web site that have taken the journey before us. Even with the relative recent advent of CAD & 3D printing, the dedication & knowledge required to complete reasonable fidelity is staggering. The small pieces do drive me nuts. I am poor at simple casting techniques. So, I mass produce by scratch build place keepers if tiny kit parts are not available when needed.
