An RPF Open Source 5 ft Millennium Falcon Build/Reference Thread. All Are Welcome

Honestly, that part #80-3, there's no good unfuzzied pics of this kit part, but I had it down as M23. I can see though how the PA18 part looks good, as does the Aero Subaru similar part. I guess go with what the eye sees, but the PA18 looks too rectangular to my eye.

I was looking at the sides. It looked to me like it cuts in more like the PA but the picture is so fuzzy, who knows?

Yeah I know, it's one of those parts that you sit & stare at for weeks & then decide what to go with.
Here’s the PG version

I'm in the middle of researching the top turret to be built as a standalone piece. Looking through this thread I can see numerous references to the changes between ANH and ESB versions, but the base photos for the part maps (I think) are predominantly ESB, and the issue is compounded by the differences between the top and bottom turrets.

Does anyone have a handle on the differences between the 4 versions ({ANH,ESB},{Top,Bottom})? For example the use of the Semovente parts vs the Panzer IV parts for the screw covers is clear to differentiate top and bottom, (hope you don't mind me using an excerpt from your part map John) but not whether these are the ANH or ESB turrets.

The part circled below is one of the differences. It looks like an ammunition box and it's NOT a Sheridan part as identified in some part maps. However, if it's an ESB mod then I can skip it if I build the ANH variant (Although it's going to bug me continuously.)

The circled part was an Empire add. I only marked the ANH stuff.

This thing is crazy as the top and bottom get reversed in pics all the time and there were so many changes over the years as pieces fell off.

Nice work John! Congratulations on getting this Herculean task done! Thank you to everyone who contributed. I know it was a lot of people contributing information. I'm amazed at the ability to identify even the most obscure kit part, especially whoever figured out the vintage microchip, I'm still blown away by that one.
