Ash's belt is slightly different in shape than Kane's. Similar but not identical. Ash's is a one-piece buckle.

And Kane's belt buckle- which appears to be a 2 piece buckle.

Anyone I.D.'d the little white do-dads on the buckle?

And speaking of inconsistancies, Dallas' WY wings change color from scene to scene as well.

The 3 greeblies on the left remind me of phone jack plugs.

I think it was just something standard like the 148 Kletterlift. Standard work boot style tread.

To me, the buckle looks like a buckle from a seat belt. I know a lot of the set details were taken from old aircraft, maybe they used the buckle/seat belt from one also?

I thought that as well and looked all over the 'net for a few days but didn't find anything that was low profile enough. Kane's could very well be a seat belt buckle though.
I don't think Ash's was. As you can see in the above pic, his buckle is one piece, like a block of plastic or something.

Hi, I just wanted to show my almost complete jacket, just missing the pink cord. I know the color is not SA, but I like it anyway. I dyed a green jacket with some anthique grey dylon powder. http://www.kronsells.dk/nostromo/album/index.html

Patches are from Merliner, Lettering from Mike and the lacings are from SG Randy

Thats a vintage mk3 size 7 from 2003. http://www.kronsells.dk/nostromo/album/index.html

I also had a vintage mk3 size 5 I sold because it was too small.
It was from the 80's and I got a better color on that one because I first dyed it blue before I gave it some grey. see picture below.

well I lurve my jacket. two weeks ago I was in london at covent garden. as I was walking to a pedestrian crossing, I heard two voices behind coming closer and said

"this is ripley, last survivor of the nostromo, signing off"

so I was jonesing over that one. cool to be recognised.

KT, yes Jonesy is in transformation for sure He's a real killer.

Lancer, glad to hear someone recognised you.

The jacket does not look as shiny as it may appear on the pictures.

As for the dye: Eventhough the jacket repells water it had no problems taking the dylon powder dye. Just remember to add 300-500 gram of regular salt in the machine.
