TNG Spacedock Shuttle Drone parts hunt

Here is my Spacedock Drone Tug so far. Nothing is attached permanently. The "nacelles" are held in place by some wall poster tack, which is also the round orange colored ball, and the Slag Cannon is also held on by a small bit of poster tack. Need to figure out what to use for the nacelle struts. Waiting on the Fuso No.66 Crane Truck, and trying to figure out what the long tube item is on the left side in the original photo above. Thanks for looking.

Augh- guessing you couldn't find the 'villain' blue-grey, they can be a little elusive. But fantastic that you're on this...

The key to the build is to figure out what was available to use back in the 1980's when the episode was made. I know, I'm preaching to the choir.

Plastic type looks very similar to the little greeblies yet to be identified.
Perhaps they are part of the battery or motor compartment of an electronic toy like this example of the motor to a GI Joe mororized tank

That's a good possibility, had not thought of that. I'm thinking those small pieces could be model parts that were cast. It's really hard to tell.

I have a question concerning the "cannon" like part above the girder truss, what are the dimensions of said part that you got when you made your wire meshes? When I reduce the overhead picture you posted of the studio prop to 23% to fit the size of the "foot" I have, the dimensions I get are 1 1/8 inch long x 1/4 inch wide. I would like to compare notes with your wire mesh model.

Seems to all be in the same ballpark on the measurements. The part it sits upon does look to have a sink mark or sink hole in the middle where the cylinder and the rectangle meet, as well as a seam line along the outside of the two items. Model kit part or toy part?

I the hole is most likely for a screw holding the two halves together. That said, it's probably from a toy.
the cylinder and rectangular base are one piece. It's the panel line on the rectangular section that makes me think it's from a sci-fi toy. The end could slide in and out like Rumbles jack hammer arms (G1 Transformers), or its a push button

The front end of the cylinder could be cut down and the sticker is covering the rough edge.

or it could be a symmetrical part (ie arms, engines, double barrel blaster cannon).

Dan doesn't recall what the parts were, more than most coming out of his son's toybox, so we're on our own in that.

That does narrow it down. I did notice in looking at the 1989 G.I. Joe "Crusader" it has the same script labels as the "DANGER" labels we are searching for. Unfortunately those DANGER labels are not found in the Crusader toy. They have to be tiny to fit on the parts seen in the prop photos.
