The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

HAH! And look what I just caught in my own photo, another Easter egg! Those little devils!

I'll grant you that Easter egg...

It's intended to bend that way, that's why the back wall is molded so thin--if it didn't bend, there would be no way to insert the dividers.

Here's Andrew Stockdale on Instagram showing the correct technique (also shown in the manual):

Also, as to the shape of the battery compartment, it's flat on top and then curves on the forward wall, and the bottom of the door compartment is curved to match:

Finally, here are the photos posted on Fleet Workshop showing the foam inserts holding the scanner snugly:

Thanks for the tip regarding the foam inserts. I understand how the inserts are put in and the wall bend but I've had things that snap fit into place before that have gone in easier than others, it was for my own peace of mind to file them down a tad. Still fit perfectly but easier to put in on mine.

Ive seen some people state that the atmosphere reading on theirs ... specifically the temperature are correct but mine tells me its 25c and its in fact 18c. Anyone else had accurate/inaccurate readings?

I don’t believe the medical badge is canon from the original series. Dr. McCoy wore a blue shirt with the sciences badge. I may be wrong though.

Correction: I was wrong, it is canon. Who knew?
(Apparently, just about everyone! :D)
I guess my follow up question is since Dr. McCoy was the head medical officer on board, shouldn't he wear the medical badge?

Update on the blog from Chris B on U.S. sales:

In the US our US customers will be buying from Amazon US. The 1,200 units of US stock is in our Chicago warehouse and is scheduled to be picked up on Monday next week to be moved to Amazon and we the second air shipment is scheduled to arrive in the US next week. So things are moving now.
Is that the entire blog?

I appreciate all the images and specific verifications that "item x" will fit in the lower compartment. But can someone provide specific measurements? Without one in-hand, I assume the following measurements of the lower compartment would handle most of our questions; inside width (without dividers installed), inside back height, inside front height, inside top (back-to-front) depth, inside bottom depth, and wall thickness. I would give extra points for bottom radius curvature, top radius curvature, and front face to back face angle.

Bottom compartment interior measurements:

Interior width: 3.7”
Interior depth (front to back): 1.7”
Interior height front: 2.0”
Interior height rear: 0.7”
Side wall thickness: 0.08”

I couldn't get the rear wall thickness because my caliper wouldn't fit, even from the back. Curvature radii are a bit beyond my skill set I'm afraid.
