@asalaw haha, you’re in the know! There are details I’d like to share to make it a bit easier for prop makers/ modders, to dig a bit deeper whilst reducing the risk of damage. The charge rate is limited by the charging circuit, it’s not the fastest, but it’s healthier for the cell. Excellent capacity for away missions anyway
You should see what kind of charging rate you get, if you hook it up to a Tesla fast charging station!*A day or two ago, I mentioned to Andrew Stockdale on Instagram that I hadn't noticed any difference between charging rates on my Mac (15W) vs. my iPad brick (20W), and he had an interesting answer:
The thing is he may be a jerk when it comes to reviewing on trust pilot.....but also collectors of anything that is hard to currently get will get desperate and be pretty rude on eBay as well. I'm guessing an overly zealous and angry collector who doesn't have a tricorder yet did indeed email the guy. I doubt this guy made it up. It's not like he is reviewing daily on trust pilot. As Chris said people can do whatever they want with their tricorders at this point. For people to get angry about that is silly. Let them sell for profit and let fools buy them. It's their choice. People just need to wait patiently for more product. Sadly this "same" scenario plays out dozens if not hundreds of times per year in the collectable market. It's not shocking or unexpected in the least.Yikes! Not cool. Chris is asking for help identifying who did this.

I don't know if the guy actually had someone pretending to be from TWC or not, but his review history suggests troll. An otherwise normal person would remove that review once realizing it was not really TWC and therefore not the company's fault.
Here's his review history.

I would hope not. Here, we've all been waiting for 5 years and have been discussing the situation as it unfolds, and everyone is very aware that while these are trickling in, it's NOT a limited edition, and the market will very soon be flooded with these things. It's frustrating to see people capitalizing on FOMO and misinformation. People on ebay or FB still seem to think that initial 200 was all they're making and now they're sold out, so people are panic buying at ridiculous prices.I presume no one here will be buying from eBay?
Sure, I think someone probably did contact them, yelling at them for the high price. Maybe they did claim to be from TWC. He posted their ebay username. But at the same time, his almost 100% 1 star review history of similar posts also indicate a common behavior. Once you realize it wasn't the company who yelled at you, the right thing to do would be to remove the review. The thing is he may be a jerk when it comes to reviewing on trust pilot.....but also collectors of anything that is hard to currently get will get desperate and be pretty rude on eBay as well. I wouldn't even call it panic buying. It's usually ignorant individuals who don't really research the product they are buying or are just plain not good at online interactions. LolI would hope not. That's good. I'm sure eBay the seller and Chris will get a name of the person who did it. Angrily pm'ing someone on eBay about a questionable pricing practice can't get you in trouble. But impersonating someone or a company? ....as Chris said it could be defamation. People need to keep their emotions and good sense intact ......that person is going to get in a bit of trouble over something so stupid. SmhI sent Chris the ebay username of the person that messaged him.

Yay!!OMG! I just got a text that my tricorders are out for delivery today! It says between 2:30-4:30.
There are always individuals like that. Ebay is full of FOMO buyers that do little to no research on what they are buying. They impulse buy on emotion. As I said earlier it happens across all collectable franchises. Hot wheels are a really good example. FOMO diecast collectors get angry that people hoard all the hyped castings of the month so they resort to eBay and pay $10-20 for a $1 car that is mass produced and still in stores. They justify their purchase thinking they will be obtain one and hope the aftermarket price continues to soar. Every single time the opposite is true and much of those diecast end up at a couple bucks at most.Another thing that some of these eBay scammer, scumbags are probably hoping for, is for individuals have heard about this happening two or three years ago, thought that the Tricorders came out back then and they missed a chance to buy them. Thinking that this is the aftermarket price for them now.

There will never be a shortage of buyers like this. It's been going on for well over 20 years at eBay with no change in site.
We need a 100% reaction, but Love will have to do.Yup. Can't fix stupid.
