My moire doesn't light up or spin, despite being set on automatic.
I'm not hugely bothered as I don't think they were features in the actual prop. I also don't want to go through the hassle of returning it for a replacement given how rare these things are.
I'm just really happy the body is as close to a 1:1 match to original prop and it has the grey screen, blue light up watch crown jewels and accurate sound, although I have noticed a slight popping sound on the looped audio of the scanning sound.
I followed all the correct instructions and charged the Tricorder fully for 4 hours as soon as I received it.
Not the end of the world and it is still a fantastic prop replica.

It's up to you, but when Charlotte replaced my communicator because the moiré motor died, she sent me the replacement first, and then I sent back the defective one (I think in packaging she provided). It wasn't a hassle at all.

Unlike shot Disney, who emails you a packing label, makes you send it back in your own box, and doesn’t give you replacement until they get the defective one back first.
Bro do the exchange. They won't be rare for long. They are making a ton. You paid good money for it and should get the honor of breaking it yourself...

You also said your moire doesn’t spin. It looks like you have it locked and on100% override.
One other idea, try a factory reset.
I emailed Charlotte hopefully they can sort it.
I am happy with the Tricorder overall it would be nice to have the option to have the Moire light and spin.

Whether it is on locked or automatic, it doesn't move or light up.
Come to think of it, even since the first time I charged it and gave it its first use the Moire didn't work.

Im always of the mind that even if I'm not going to use a function that it should be working regardless. I'm sure the good folks over at Wand will resolve the issue for you

Actually, factory reset is a good idea. Couldn't hurt.
