Neither could I but I figured I might be doing something wrong in my search. Either they were never there or if they were they stopped selling product. It could also be that someone was selling one and just mentioned it was from Trek Classic.

That makes sense. I also can't find a Trek Classic store on eBay.

The manufacturing run is for 10,000 units. They are being shipped from the manufacturer in batches as they are being completed, rather than wait another month or two for the whole 10k at once.

Finally found it--you have to search for "trekclassic," one word. Lots of interesting items, but no scanners.

As I have said I can wait for the tric, sure I can I have no choice!
And I know TWC will make more (until the 1st run is done. Then we will see), but thats really not the point here for us in the US.
The point is that we have a 89 day window of reasonable tariffs, after that who knows.
Maybe the tariffs will be less (not very likely), maybe they will go back up ( possibly),
or maybe they will stay at 30% ( I think the most likely).
2 to 3 weeks wait is acceptable to me, as long as they bring enough in before the 90 days is
up. $415 is a very acceptable price for me. The possibility that it will be prime is just icing on the cake.
But consider that the US is probably going to be, by far, the largest market for the tric. When they do end
up on Amazon it will be a feeding frenzy! Most folks will not wait for the invite and will buy up as many as
they can.
It will probably be like the last batch on AmazonUK, they will sell out fast.
Time will tell.

My scanner's here and it's awesome, and yes, it fits perfectly in the tricorder, even with the door closed. This will be my last post in this thread about the scanner--anything else will go in the new thread.
Here's the scanner working out of the box:

I just received my replacement serial number insert with the correct number. I’ll be shipping the incorrect one back. I wonder if someone on here will end up with it. number 61 haha. Sorry, yes I agree. Back on topic. Moving scanner chatter to the new thread.

That's the one and yes, they are expensive.
It's the difference between a company mass producing an item in China and a couple of guys doing a very limited run by hand.
I guarantee you I would spend way more than $350 of my time, energy, materials, tools, etc. trying to make one myself.
Haha. Yeah I looked.at the video. It's neat and all but for $350 I can do without...lol. it would be worth it for a cosplayer though.
Can't wait to see pics! I never get tired of seeing new ones arriving home.Just received my Tricorder, looks great but need some time to review functionality etc. Pics etc to follow!
