OK, now you're just plagiarizing. :p

Yeah I know what I said previously…but…A new observation….

I too have the MR but it’s in a garage tub and don’t feel like digging it out….but using this pic below (thanks jhusel)…

I think MR has more height on the bar to act as a stop for not rotating the hood past 90. Whereas TWC lessens the height thereby shortening the bar and removing a stop and so letting the hood rotate to 180

So by DIY …adding material to TWC’s bar to heighten, or add thickening material to the bottom edge of hood housing…it’s possible to stop the hood from rotating past 90 if desired.

Would that be 2 retailers? TWC and Amazon

Good Luck with that….you do know you can make a real person to person call to Amazon….it’s not all chat, ai help. You can actually talk to a human being with empathetic feelings.

If MR stops theirs at 90°, that's inaccurate. The original props all swung all the way through 180°. Even on the show, they were usually shown past 90°. The Wand's detents stop at 170°. Also, Wand took extremely accurate measurements of the Jein hero (plus 3D scans), so changing the height or dimensions of the crossbar would, again, reduce accuracy.

I'm beginning to think the MR is a lot less accurate in the finer points than it's reputed to be.

When I was building my Tricorder replicas and studying pics, to my eye, it appeared as though the leatherettes were made so the hood impacted the front bar and did not rotate past that bar.

100% agree the Wah built tricorders and the fiberglass united did rotate past the bar though.

Yeah, those awful leatherette tricorders were another matter, but the Wand was scanned and measured from Greg Jein's A/B Frankencorder.

With the slightest finger pressure…it’s confirmed by what savages video says and member(s) here.

You’ll have to hold the hood from rotating while pushin buttons..

In this demo, I don’t feel positive tactile engagement of the push buttons. Holding the hood, (not shown in this video) only then am I able to feel the push buttons engage.

From Savages vid….notice the fingers positioned to stop the hood from rotating….

I did export control for a number of years (on top of my IT admin) and it's most times it's been the battery in my experience. I even had to take a packing course so I could properly pack and use that sticker for international export. Yes I'm aware many people just send it but I was doing lab equipment and everything about it was a special little thing.
