What rule did it break that you reported it. I was under the impression that you can ask whatever you want and I have seen multiple eBay auctions in the past for things that were not in hand yet.

FOMO apparently is running rampant .
If not entertaining, some of those FB MOFO with FOMO are really losing their biscuits. Hard to understand.
I'm not happy about them showing up on eBay while I have yet to be able to order one but unless something has changed I don't see anything wrong with asking double what you paid if you can find someone who is willing to pay the price for whatever reason.

The hook was 1. It was misrepresenting the country of manufacture as the UK instead of China, 2. it was using Wand Company product photos without their permission, 3. It was asking $100 for shipping in the US for a two-pound parcel that was already prepackaged, and 4. He couldn't possibly have the product in hand yet.
I have no idea whether eBay gives a rat's patoot about 3 & 4, but I threw them in anyway. But it's a safe bet they don't like misrepresenting the origin of goods (which is illegal) or using copyrighted photos without permission.
In any event, I haven't heard back from eBay about my report, so I have no way of knowing whether my report was what did it, or what they objected to if it was. For that matter, we don't even know it was eBay that took it down. For all we know it could've been the seller himself.
The Tricorder in question is actually showing up under sold auctions so I guess someone bought it?

One of many reasons I don't interact with the fan groups on FB. First, they're mostly idiots over there, and second, they're mostly incredibly rude idiots. They've been told numerous times that Wand is making thousands of units and more are coming, and yet they still seem to think they're all gone already.
Nobody's pissed here. And it's spelled "waste." "Waist" is your middle, the part that expands when you eat too much.
