STAR WARS - Skeleton Crew props & costume

IG user phil_szostak posted these on Instagram in the past few days.
Where is this stuff on display?

I went to the Lucasfilm lobby in San Francisco about a month ago, and there was no sign of anything from Skeleton Crew in the publicly-accessible area. In fact, the lobby looked very similar to how it looked a couple years earlier, with just one significant change that I could spot.

I’m talking about the lobby inside the doors directly behind the outdoor Yoda fountain. Is there another area that I missed?

Cool, thanks! How long is yours after printing?
I think around 32.5cm

I tried to use this as an estimate for the actual length. But not sure how accurate it is, as a few pixel difference in measurement could result in a couple of actual millimeters of differnce. Estimate it around 35cm (Jude's height is 178cm)

I wish there was something more… proprietary, for lack of a better term. Flashlights and all the other things discussed so far are cool, but they don’t really resonate on the same level as say Nemik’s Manifesto from Andor. Too bad there wasn’t a macguffin of sorts that was instantly recognizable to SC. I guess the credits fill that role, but they aren’t exactly exciting, either.

Actually, I would say that Skeleton Crew has a very clear MacGuffin: The gold bars from At Attin. Attention is drawn to them in every episode, until there are multiple torrents in the last two! Barring that, I'd go for the lightsaber. For myself, the At Attin Middle School Gamma patch was good too, because it's on all the kids' jackets.

Agreed. It’s just that credits don’t feel iconic to me. We’ve seen plenty of credits in SW and alone dont really stand out as being SC unless you put them into context. You can have standalone Wick coins, Indy idol, even a lone deck for Sabbaac cards would represent Solo, imo, but a pile of credits on a shelf without a bunch of other SC stuff around just looks like SW, not SC.

I know I’m just being picky, but hopefully that makes sense.

I think the patches are high on my list.

Yeah, the patches are cool. I think maybe a simple display of all the flashlights with the 4 Black Series figures standing in front of them and may a small pile of credits in front. I liked the show, but not enough to go all in.

Just a heads up to anyone wanting the flashlights. It appears the Wim’s Energizer model is discontinued. I’m sure some sites are still selling them, just be weary that you may get a different 2-pack despite the stock pic being used.

Top are the ones you want. Bottom are the updated model. Pretty sure the top are 3151L2S and the bottom are EVEL152S, but even the model numbers across sites aren’t consistent.

Also, for Neal’s, you don’t have to settle for the ones on eBay that have the companies name etched on them. All of the 912s have the same casing it doesn’t have to be the MP specifically.

glad to help. Unfortunately my suspicions have been confirmed. I found a site that had the flashlights listed using the product image we’re looking for, but with the EVEL152S model#….

So, I’d imagine the majority of websites using the older stock photo will be shipping out the newer version. That leaves eBay and sellers that use actual product pics which for a $7 set of flashlights isn’t gonna be something many non-shop sellers going to bother with.

Any idea whats with the squared off looking button on Wim's flashlight compared to the rounded one it comes with? Also looks like the lens cap is the metal one from another model. Sorry if im behind on this, just snagged a blue one on Mercari so now Im invested :p
Looks like theres something on the butt end too.

being as Fern’s is the only prop we’re seen outside of screencaps and that we’re using the BS figures as reference…

They definitely removed the oval switch and replaced it with another and added and extra button. I’m guessing almost all flashlights have a universal size/thread to the refractor where they are unscrewed to insert batteries, so they could have taken any vintage metal 2D flashlight and swapped out the black plastic. AFA what’s on the butt of the casing…I dunno. The flashlight has a solid outer casing. There’s nothing on the bottom to unscrew, so they just fit some kind of end cap fabricated or borrowed.

I’ll tell you this, I never thought I’d spend half my day obsessing over flashlights of all things! lol

Edit: I can’t take screencaps at home, but there’s a very clear look at the endcap in E8 right before the take off on their bikes in the blackout. It’s a lot more complex than what I figured.

That’s just a pic off the tv. We can get much better resolution if someone can take an actual screencap.
