STAR WARS - Skeleton Crew props & costume

Let's talk about....
Here are a few items I'm researching.
Anyone have any ideas?

That prop had me squirming because I’m certain like 20 years ago I could’ve scrounged up every piece in one of the local (now defunct) surplus equipment shops. Everything is tickling a brain cell, but they’re all old and dusty brain cells. Here’s a few clearer (but not “Lucasfilm lobby” clear) views:

Only piece I can maybe kinda identify is a PS/2 mouse connector with that distinctive teal color and tombstone shape:

The 4th image, Old school binder clips, key rings , springs. and crimp on electrical terminals. The wing looking thing uses a wood joint repair piece, the wavy things that hold cotter pins. The ring looks like a rim from a toy semi truck.
Unfortunately I can't find anything like that. Except for the electronic terminals.

Etsy sells the binder clips. The small key rings for car key fobs. The springs at any good hardware store. Hardware store will have the wood repair waves and cotter pins also.

Ha. Was looking a bit more into the code-cracker…no luck…then got distracted with the other props on Fara’s desk:

YU-DS5 3.5" floppy disk holder (gray) and Mobilitas Mobility Sphere. Some other rando floppy storage, couldn’t tell ya. Wasn’t sure of the project box, then found:

Hammond Manufacturing 1590 series plastic instrument enclosure.

Thank you! It’s so funky!
WELL, consider me stumped on the code-cracker. Like obviously it’s a bunch of garbage cobbled together, but the main body thing eludes me. I’m just guessing either a garage opener remote or a medical alert (“fallen and can’t get up”) thingy. I’ve google-imaged a lot to no avail.

EDIT: others that came to mind are PS/2, ADB or Mac serial switcher (platinum-era Mac), or corded remote/indicator for a larger KVM switch base unit…but again no search luck.

I think the small clips can be found on Amazon, not sure if I'm allowed to post a link. Looks like they got them before they were manufactured into the clips or they just carefully separated and flattened them . Doing so gives you the rounded "wings" with holes on the side.
