Unlimited Run Star Trek: Picard, Away Jackets, Now Taking Orders!

I've been lurking on the RPF for probably 10 years, but THIS! This made me register. Despite living in a climate that has maybe 6 weeks of intermittent winter and far too many jackets in my wardrobe--I am soooo interested. Wondering what the price increase is for custom fit/size. Also on the mock-ups--the Riker one looks really sharp. The Raffi one--are the sleeves maybe not to scale? I imagine that isn't the most important part at this stage--it's the body and all the pieces and seams that have to be worked out.

I was searching Google trying to find one of these jackets and landed on this site. I am definitely interested in one of them in Command Red when they're finished and available to order! I'm super excited for that to happen!

Are they Arrow/CW folks?
Colleen Atwood has more credits than you can shake a stick at. But for the CW she designed the first Supergirl, Arrow and Flash.
Maya Mani took over for actual series work and also has many credits, however helped craft that leather and stretch costume look that is seen in most of the costumes on the show even moreso than Atwood.

The style that is even seen here is quite comfortable and not overly warm etc.

I was fascinated by the video released with the costumer showing off the jackets and talking about the processing of the leather to get that look and apparently feel that the cast loved so much.

Yes I am interested! The progress pics look great.
I think my first choice is Riker Red but I'm interested in seeing how the blue turns out also.

The colors from the prototypes are very much still placeholders, of course.
I saw that Picard production designer Dave Blass commented on the color on Twitter, nice to have his attention and get his input!

I am confused about how order are going to be taken. Jameel said that these were to be sold later on "Big effect props Etsy store" for around $350, but then he also said that Zlurpo would be taking orders directly in this thread, but then also his Excellent Leather Shop is already taking orders for $400. So...where should orders be placed/taken?

Big Effect Props is my etsy store, and how I sell most things I help produce with Jameel.

He does sell some things directly, although some of his own logistics and payment methods might add some additional fees.

Pricing isn't 100% nailed down yet for the full run, but hopefully we'll be taking pre-orders on etsy by the end of the week as we finalize the design.

Hi Zlurpo . I asked this question in the other thread, but I figured I'd ask here as well. What about the rank pips\insignia and comm badges? Will those be offered? Do you know what materials or attachment methods? Obviously I'd prefer metal and magnetic attachment if possible. Thanks! Very excited for these!

I've had a couple makers here on the rpf reach out about a collaboration to provide a complete set along with the jackets. Nothing is nailed down yet, and I'm still looking at options.

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. I know Kokanee makes a great set of the pips. Hoping you're able to get the commandant and comm badges figured out.
