I’m nervous only because my experience has been that getting the curves in the right places is a bit trickier. I remember adding a comment to clarify where one measurement fell in relationship to another measurement—because I’m rather short.

I just had my measurements retaken in full for a 2nd time this evening at a different tailor, for a second opinion. Glad I did, and I feel much more at ease now. Not much changed, but there were some differences, especially overall back length and arm measurements.

I hope I didn’t drive Jameel nuts with all my emailed measurements lol. Sorry Jameel! <3

I've ordered several times with ELS, and they've always hit the sizing remarkably well...As long as you're not measuring someone else entirely, I would say that the sizes you can take from a favourite garment or your own body will work with no major issues.. What I've also found, is that when there's a problem, like a size that doesn't seem to make sense, Jameel will reach out and double check as he did with me on this jacket for the shoulder sizing.....It's a really reliable method....I sent over the double checked sizing from the jacket I chose to get the size off, and a video of that jacket on, so Jameel could see what would need to be done to match with the Picard jacket, and he made several adjustments based on that....They know what they're doing, so I'm not at all nervous about that.....

Basically, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as your measurements are taken well, you're golden..

Just got my shipment in yesterday. Love it. Details are incredible. Fit is good pursuant to the measurements sent in. Comparisons with the New American jacket.

Only concern is this leather is a bit thicker, so magnetic pips and combadges will need to be reinforced.

It took longer than originally we hoped, but things are moving along really well as Zlurpo said.

Crossing my fingers to have my red one by the end of the month for the Las Vegas convention but not going to complain if it takes longer -- looks like it'll be worth any wait!

My headcanon is that the New American jacket is fresh out of the academy and full of hope, while the ELS jacket is the seasoned, grizzled veteran with 'faded' colours.

I also find it comforting that the jackets we're getting have thicker leather, since it will probably be more durable.

I appreciate seeing the pics people are posting! Out of curiosity, what’s underneath the delta pattern on the shoulders? Is there space under there or is it bound to a material layer underneath?

Polyester fabric is strong material as well thin that doesn't change leather shape.

I believe the womens cuts are finalized, but the first order for a womens jacket was pretty far down the list, so I don't think any have shipped out yet.

We will get good pictures of them for etsy but haven't had the example jackets made yet.
