Unlimited Run Star Trek: Picard, Away Jackets, Now Taking Orders!

All three of the pictures you linked 100% have a black plastic cover on the zipper tab.

I’m not trying to argue with you or for my one point of advice to be construed as negative, I’m just going by what the production photos convey. Plastic cover or not, the current zipper does not lie flat under the zipper flaps (and all the photos show that). Just my observation from someone who owns the jacket.

Is it a deal breaker? No. Is it a piece of helpful advice? Sure.

The note about the shape and how it fits with the flaps is a good one, and helpful feedback. Maybe there is some aspect of the design that we missed, and can better incorporate into the design.

But if you have any sources that do clearly show the lack of a black plastic tab cover, I would like to see them. The shine on the smooth black surface may look like a metal reflection in some pictures, but I haven't seen any that are lacking that tab.

Those are pictures of the same jacket ar the same showing. No differences.

Ah, I see. Gang up on the person who offers any sort of constructive feed back upon review. Fine, I’ll trash my (overwhelmingly positive) review. Color of the zipper or not, doesn’t change the fact it doesn’t lie flat inside the flaps, which ALL THE PHOTOS show.

Take that as some constructive feedback.

I’m done here.

Don't take it personally....

The team on this just worked as hard as they could to source and double check and research all the things they threw into the jacket, so your statement that they slipped up needed evidence, that's all.....As you state, and we can see from the pics, the zip doesn't quite lay as flat as the screen used ones seem to, so, perhaps that's something we need to work out, but it's not an attack on you...Don't worry....We are all HUGE fact/evidence nerds, and this one was demanding some back up...That's all...

As for the question, it might be that the plastic used was a touch thinner? Do they come in different thicknesses? I can see what Haz meant when he said there was no plastic, it does look very thin, so can come across as no covering perhaps, and the ones used by us might just be a touch thicker? Possibly.......

As it is, I have no problem with that....Zipper pulls are fairly easy to replace in any case, so, if it irks me, it's a quick fix....I can't wait to try the jacket on! (Mine will be made this week I think!)

I apologize. I had not intended for my comments to be criticizing or attacking in any way. The review was, clearly, almost entirely favorable and positive, and appreciated.

I want people to be able to feel free and open to leave honest reviews, both good (most of what you said) and areas open to improvement (the shape at the bottom of your jacket). I commented on neither of those things because reviews/opinions are subjective. Maybe I should have addressed them further.

I commented instead on the two objective points. The shipping, and the expressed belief in a demonstrably incorrect detail, which is something we would want to address immediately. I wasn't trying to challenge or attack, I was looking for any clear source that a detail was done wrong. I was too aggressive about it, and I'm sorry for that.

We are looking at what kind of slight addition could be made to the shoulders to reinforce them a bit. I am not sure they have proper shoulder pads, but there is certainly something that gives a bit of support.

I was going to say that they would need to be rather thin shoulder pads. I went back to the start of the thread and the Geordi photo shows a slight “bunching” at the shoulder because of how he is leaning. Too much padding would cause the entire should to raise in that position. That would it look like you are wearing a jacket that is too big.

Shots like this certainly support that the shoulders have something in them to reinforce.

Yeah, there may be a touch, just in the arc of the shoulder area and the top, very light padding should do it, removable would help the owner decide what look they wanted too..Or, just a fabric pouch to slide padding into, if needed maybe?

You can accomplish the zipper bearing flat just by tucking under the leather. At least on any leather jackets in this style can do.

Also that picture with Riker and Troi looks more like shoulder pads than not. It's an easy add on at least :)

Does this mean production may be on hold if these things are being looked into? (From what I’ve seen of what’s already gone out, I’d be totally satisfied with current version. )

Hey all,
This YKK desing puller, and they haven't released this puller without rubber cap.

I already checked Shows images, I haven't found any soild proof for shoulder pads.
Due to laser cut they must added up a layer of fabric or leather underneath delta panels (I'm not sure %100 about inside metaril)
We are using a fabric layer underneath all delta panels.
As far reinforce size, our deisgn based on Riker and Geordi jackets.
