Michael, it is really hard to see how big this is. ill try to find something next update to show the size better.


For this weekends update, finished the engine support arm. and also made a quick and cheap concrete mold for the top part and got three pulls done on the vac former. Total cost for the two parts made out of concrete. about $3.00 cant beat that.

Katsu, for a model at home yes. But ive built patterns for boats, planes and cars so this isnt that bad.

Started on the vac part. got it all trimmed and sanded flat. and started cutting up the other pulls for layering onto that part. heres a few pics.

You mentioned that you can mix resin with Bondo to make it smooth like Evercoat. Which resin have you used that works? I'd like to try this.

Yeah just a little Polyester Resin in bondo. will smooth it out. but dont go crazy. just enough to get it to soften up. so it flows better if that makes sense.

Finished the top piece minus a detail part on the front and back, this model has parts on parts. also remade the two side parts. heres a few pics.
