Limited Run Sign up thread for NEW Luke V2 light saber run. Spring 2018 edition (SIGN UP CLOSED)

Re: Sign up thread for NEW Luke V2 light saber run. Spring 2018 edition (SIGN UP CLO

Here is what I did to lessen the wobble of the emitter

drill stop/shaft collar and a steel rod, 4”

cut a nub/bit for the drill stop set screw to sit in

cut a ring around the nipple end so it doesn’t matter what position i drop it in

break open the saber, put the collar on and drop it down. Measure and move the collar forward or backward to line it up. Make sure the emitter is not dangling at its most extended state, and you’ll get an accurate reading!

now this is how far it can be extended. Still rotates and rattles...I still have the steel threaded heat sink in there too

Can anyone suggest an efficient way of removing the machine marks? I've gone with sandpaper and steel wool, and both seem to be taking FOR-EV-ER. I will admit, this is my first time doing such a thing...

Has anyone tried to cannibalize a first run and mate the rod and bearing into this one? My first run is sitting unloved at the moment. Before I give it a shot I want to know if anyone has tried this hybrid job.

Tom is that the rod from the first run? Or did you find that at a hardware store?

They were all supposed to be hex screws. If you got slotted by mistake, send me a pm and Ill send you replacements

I too got slotted screws, can you just tell me the size I need, I can try and grab them up the street from me

At first I thought you were hardcore about protecting the v2, until I spotted the toothbrush on your table.

Tooth decay is a serious thing...

I’ve been going threw oral reconstruction the past 2 years, fun stuff!! Lol

Tooth brush was used to clean out the threads in the wind vane neck.

Tooth brushes aren’t just good for cleaning teeth, they can clean a lightsaber pretty good as well!

... and also delorean wheels, gets right in between the spokes ;)
