Hi, This looks fantatsic, what will you be selling these for ?Hi everyone. Heres an Alien Romulus Pulse Rifle ive been working on for a while. Ive constructed the V1 tester so i can see the issues i need to address. I have collaborated with a good friend and fellow modelmaker Brian Jones to make ourselves a couple of high quality replicas. As we will be making moulds for our rifles, i thought i would see if any of you would like one. Please bear in mind that this is only the test version, (although it is really cool) and the final one will have all the detailing sorted. It will be pressure cast in resin with all internals ready for electronics, working trigger, safety, torch etc.
If you would like one of these please let me know and i will put you on the list. Please note there will be a little wait until i manage to find the reference i need to finalise it accurately.
Im just testing the water so to speak.
Thanks for checking it out folks. Happy modelling.
I think that’s very reasonable!SG-RB, Philtw, Enterprise0216, Generallurko, you guys are now added.
Just to let you know the second version redesign is underway after checking the ref. Heres what has been decided for the kit.
It will be available as a kit only, pressure cast resin, metal barrels, functional safety switch (under the trigger guard for the torch), functional trigger, functional switch fittings (on the side for the main gun, Led and lens holders for the front torch. The stock will be solid without the Auto Aim function seen on screen. This is because the construction of this movable part will be prone to some large forces, and it is my belief that it will not sustain use as a replica without machining the parts from metal and mounting them on a metal base to provide the support. This would place the cost well outside most people reach which we don't really want to do. So thats the thinking on that part.
I am trying to get the lighting and sounds sorted out via another company, who specialise in that area, and, if i design it correctly, anyone buying the lighting kit can easily fit these to it. In order for that to happen, the model needs to be able to be stripped down easily. Therefore it would seem right to have the connections for all the parts of the kit screw together, rather than require glue. It makes the design a little more difficult so please bear with me on this one.
I will have another update for you folks asap.
Thanks once again for all the interest. Happy modelling everyone.
