Re: Free Paper Prop Thread #4 - 2009

Every red-blooded American man is a Summer Glau Fan. :lol

I'm a Sandrine Holt fan. I honestly haven't enough of Summer Glau's work to know if I like her as an actress or not. And I'm just as red-blooded as any American male. :p

Corel Photo has sketchpad feature under effects. I will look for a clean photo to use.

Thanks!

Outlander- I think I know what you mean, but I don't know of any programs that do that for PC or Mac users. For the "sketch" I did, I utilized another "how to do a sketch" tutorial for Photoshop, that involved copying the background image, desaturating the image and then use the Find Edges under the Stylize section of the Filters and then multiply under the Layers option. Normally, that would work, but for the picture, it just didn't come off as being a sketch. So, I did another copy of the background image, went to Filter-Sketch-Photocopy, made the adjustments to brightness and contrast and then multiply the image under layers, which actually gives it more of a drawn appearance than it did with the "Find Edge" layer with the original photograph.

Xxblackbird- I've tried both Google Image Search and Yahoo! Image Search for "Schwarzenegger sketch", what came up was typical for what I found before: sketches that are based off pictures to the point that they're photo-realistic (to which Outlander pointed out would not be what a police/FBI sketch artist would do) or they are charactures of Arnold. And the ones that looked like they could be done by police/FBI sketch artists show Arnold smiling (which he did not do in "The Terminator". The closest to a smile we see a Terminator do is in the Special Edition of T2). I'll see if I can get in contact with the artist of the sketch you've linked at Deviantart to see if he will allow me to use it. If not, then there'd be no choice but to leave the picture the way it is.

Thanks, Gman666! If you like, you can use the one I've used for the previous two poster attempts, you may have to adjust the brightness and contrast a bit, but I chose it because it was the best straight forward shot I could find that wasn't from "Terminator 2". I've attached it. Hopefully, it'll turn out good. :D And worse case scenario, if the artist who did the sketch that Xxblackbird decides to not allow me to use his sketch, I'll utilize the sketchified picture. :)

Here is a real quick one done in 2 min. I am still playing with the program. If anything else I can print it out and free hand it. Give me till tomorrow. I am also looking at screen grabs.

Thansks!

Ive looked through the other threads, but only seem to find the Wonka Bar wrappers for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Does anyone have the ones for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory available. Thanks in advance.

Here is a softer one w/o dark outlines.

Thanks!

Re: Free Paper Prop Thread #4 - 2009

First off, I'm really surprised a lot of people are helping out with this. I guess there's a few people here who want to make this paper prop the best it can be. Thanks to everyone who is helping.

propcollector- Those are good. For the first version of the poster, it used a combination of the first and third "sketch".

Gman666- Both are pretty good. They're a little bit blurry, but that just may be me.

I haven't yet received a reply from the artist who Xxblackbird directed me to, but it's been about two hours, but I'll continue to wait until I get a response.

Re: Free Paper Prop Thread #4 - 2009

I am working on getting a sharpness but do not want to make it look like a photo or a known pose. The pic I am working from is a T1 promo. I like it because it has a white background. I will keep messing with it. Like I said worst case is that I free hand it myself. If anyone has any other photos or pics post them.

Thanks!
