I have a cleaned up and enhanced copy of the Chachapoya map from Raiders of the lost arch. PM me for a high res copy.

It should be noted that Pat Riley(DARTH SABER) is the original artist of this great paper prop.

Please also note that I have not claimed to be the artist. I have only "cleaned and enhanced" the original art work.
My compliments to Mr. Riley, it is a remarkable work. No one really know what (if anything) was on the original prop, though there is a screen grab upon which you can detect blue rivers drawn.

Wow Cmdr. Kerner. Always been amazed at your BSG paper props. Got me thinking though about an idea. The paper prop threads are probably the most popular threads on the RPF. I bet there are a lot of members that come to the thread and want to do their own paper props, but like me there are not familiar with image editing, vector, all the techniques that you fine paper prop experts use. So what I was thinking was that we should create a tutorial thread. I'm not saying to give out all your best secrets, just sort of a beginners guide to taking a screencap of a paper prop and making it viable for printing. We all have varied tastes in movies, and most of us probably could think of a paper prop no one has done before. I'll bet if more of us knew a little more about making paper props, the posts would skyrocket even more. Just a suggestion, what you guys think?

I just thought DARTH SABER (his board name is all caps, not trying to be a dick) deserved some notice, and did not know if you knew who the artist was.

Cmdr. Kerner, I am a great admirer of your work. Especially the BSG stuff right now. I also apreciate your Star Trek props.

Here is something I worked up on my own. In the original folder they had Adama's medical report with some scans just on white paper thrown in. I thought it looked cheesey.

Hope you like.

Sorry, having trouble linking to my pic on Photobucket. Not exactly sure how to do it. Help???

Re: Free Paper Prop Thread #4 - 2009

I did not know who had done the original work. I had found it on some unrelated web site a year ago or so. I spent some hours adding my personal touch to produce what you see here.
I do wish the original map had survived, I understand it was destroyed.

Re: Free Paper Prop Thread #4 - 2009

Can anyone help me with my quest:confused

I'm trying to find a good version of the US Robotics logo from the stationary used in iRobot. Just before Sonny makes his sketch, it shows some good shots of several USR forms containing the logo and address.

For the address, I can make out 1001 West ..?.. Avenue Chicago, Ill

My screen-caps aren't good enough to make out the whole thing.

I was hoping somebody out there might be able to help me,and whip up a really good version of the logo and address. I would try myself, but am pretty useless when it comes to creating anything(especially on a computer:cry)

Here are the best screen-caps that I could get

If anyone can help, I'd be most happy:):):)
