For the D shape and the logo, tou should make them 1mm thick max. So it could fit better in the strap and you'll be able to make the kind of mod I did on my D shape (to get the GITD recharged by the lights from the shoe and be able to place any color filter in front of the D shape - if you're using a White led to lite the shape)

I have received my roll of plastazote foam density 70 (polyethylene foam). I bought it here http://www.larp-cosplay.com/66-plastazote-70 . So I "reboot" my sole pattern and shell too.
So the next step of my tuto will comes not very soon. Sorry

I tried with silicon for bathroom join and it's awful. It doesn't stay clear, it becomes a kind of white translucent.
I start to be fed up.
Maybe I will finally make something like this.

This because it is a real base shoe and the mods look good. I actually saw a red pair of these being worn last night in the city. They are pretty high and look better on someones feet than they do in web images.

I have been looking into more flexible rubber than the stuff I am using now and have found that stuff locally here. Very flexible, but it is called "trans-amber" and is the same colour as the yellow soles were are replacing. You can fold it in half without it splitting. Just a shame they don't make that in water clear.

It is hard to find a translucent silicone with a high enough shore hardness for a sole. Even the stuff I have is A40 and not hard enough. You want at least A60 or A65 for a shoe sole. That foam mid-sole looks awesome.

I have something similar but looks way better and reallt translucent... I'll post pictures when I'll test it
